Just wondering which one you find more challenging? Which do you spend more time dealing with? Just wondering. Thank you in advance for your response. :)

Kids, the housework doesn't argue, whine, bicker, tattle or refuse to go to bed! :)

The housework will always be there but our kids grow too fast and if you don't spend time with them now; they may be grown before you realize the housework can wait!

I find housework harder because I don't like doing it. But kids! I love playing and being with the kids! I've also had back to back pregnancies for 3 years, so yeah, doing house work with tiny kids around and being pregnant stinks!

Have to agree with Carmina Beardon on the housework when prego, very not fun, no energy or drive but I always had the time and energy for my childs

Agreed, my son is WAY more fun,
And also way way harder. Housework is easy but BORING! If I had the choose between a day with my son or a day with the dishwasher. It would be my son everytime! :-)

oh yes laundry, I forgot about laundry. OK I LOVE my kids, adore having a clean house and HATE (with a passion) laundry and follow up 3 hrs of ironing. A dying art I'm told....but one I still perform UGH!!!

Kids are harder but more fun lol. I spend more time doing housework but I have 5, oldest 9 and the youngest 1, and they make a lot of the mess(dishes, clothes, ect) so I have more to do everyday but with your kids you have life to teach them. Everything you do has an effect good or bad and every kid is different so you sort of have to throw out the rule book and start from scratch so kids definitely are harder but they make it worth it everyday.

They are both hard and they both need doing.
Kids need attention, usually even more so when you are trying to clean (that's all kids right, not just mine?)
I love seeing my house clean, am somewhat of a neat freak. So the housework is ok by me, ok, I need to find time to do it, but that's fine because seeing everything in its place, my bed freshly made, etc, it makes me happy, puts me in a good mood.
With kids, you are NEVER done. Nothing is ever completely perfect. You can put on the most beautiful dress, and they will make a mess of it as you are doing their hair.... that can be a challenge for me!
I love my kids though and would choose them over a clean house any day (in fact I do 6.5 out of 7 days lol)

It depends on the day! Most days I find my son more challenging! We do the laundry together he helps fold and he cleans the playroom! Household things can be fun! But throwing fits... Those are not so fun!

i have a harder time getting myself to do housework so i spend the majority of my time finding things to keep cadence busy. (shes 16 mo.) and when she naps i like to take some time to do somethings for myself.

The KIDS!!!! They won't go to bed. I don't get it......I know it's every time they come home from their dads. He let's them stay up too late.
But the running after them, making sure they're busy is a huge challenge. They want to go, go, go!

Balancing both for me right now is difficult...my girls are 2 and 4 1/2, and they're playing nice for one second, then fighting a few seconds later...I tell myself that housework can always get done later, but I HATE messes, the laundry that seems to multiply like Gremlins, the clutter, etc....I know that I need to change my gameplan, because the housework can't love me back, it can't talk to me, it can't benefit from my life lessons, etc., so if there are certain chores that can wait, then they wait....if I can recruit the girls to help me, then I let them help me (even if I have to re-do my tasks, or clean up after them, doesn't matter - at least I'm teaching them things)....and I feel guilty a LOT about 10 mins here or 10 mins there, which add up to time that I don't spend with them...it makes me feel awful and horrible...but, there are NO answers to the equation of housework and quality time w/ the kids...but, I wouldn't trade it for ANYTHING in the world right now - just trying to make the best of every day.
When my girls grow up and blossom into confident, competent, capable, responsible, strong, independent, loving, and sensitive human beings, then I know that I did a great job :)

I loathe housework. I'd much rather deal with ten 2 year olds all having a tantrum at the same time.
I neglect the house work to be with my daughter right now, a 7 month old needs me more than the dishes do.

I would say the kids are alot more challenging then the housework. I spend alot more time with my children then doing the housework. I don't see the point in doing a bunch of housework during the day when you can do it at night when the kids are in bed. I will do some just so the house is safe and i will do dishes after each meal and put away laundry or sweep if the floor needs it but thats pretty much it during the day.

Cleaning probably since its never clean with these four even with their chores it seems like its always a mess.
I do also spend more time with the kids usually keeping them busy so they aren't fighting. Could be partly why the house is messy LOL

When the kiddos are younger, it is hard to get the house work done. I always want to make sure the kids needs are met first before the house work. Now that the kids are older, they help with the house work and there are fewer parenting challenges. It does seem like parenting moves in stages and new challenges will arise.

Kids take more to deal with..... they are moody, needy, clingy... the works. It's always something, and when you do get a break, it's a short lived one. It's a commitment for a lifetime, so I'd say kids are definiatly harder. House work can go to hell and no one will care but you and whatever poor soul crosses your threshhold lmao
I hate housework though.... always have. But I'd rather just do it and maintain then have a really dirty/messy house.

I love challenges though, I do love being with my boys and love playing with them as well. When they get worked up and over rambunctious its tough.

I can't decide which is more difficult. My kids are more fun sometime. Where housework is never fun. I definitely spend more time with my kids than housework. I dunno......

My 3 boys are harder and challenging, housework for me is a piece of cake. My boys are really all over the place and especially my two oldest boys Asher and Brendan rough house and full of energy. Getting them to settle down is a chore. Especially since I breastfeed my 6 month old and 3 year old sons.
