in the end do what makes you feel happy and content because if your not happy then the rest of the house can sense that and they in turn won't be happy .

I have a home based business that I work around my children and it is very rewarding because it gives me the "adult" time I need away while being able to participate in my son's preschool. I have two little ones (3 and 9 months) so they need me more than your 10 year old does. Do volunteer work with your son after your school time is done. A local pet shelter or women's shelter could probably use the help.

If you want tpo continue home schooling your son look try looking into doing some before and after childcare or find a couple of kids to keep part time that could help some--I will definitely remember you as I pray that God will provid eyou the answer

I don't see why you can't work only while he's at school. I wouldn't work a job that took me away from my kids but when they are in school, no harm can come from you working. Just make sure it's a job that will allow for you to put your kids first. You need to be able to call in if one of them is sick, for example. Good luck!

You know, I'm not sure. It really does come down to it being whatever's best for your family. What's good for one is not good for all. For us, the plan at this point is for me to stay at home, and then when we open our automotive shop in a few years, I will do the books. Working in our own business will give me somewhat of a flexible schedule to be there for our kids (I know this because my family also has a business, and it worked out great for my parents) but also have some pursuit outside the home, which I do like on some level. That's the tentative plan at this point. It could change, but hopefully not, because it would work really well for us.

I don't think there is one answer for every family. For my family me staying home is what works. But some families mom going to work is what is best for there family. I think as long as you are thinking of what is best for the family as a whole you are choosing the right thing. It a hard choice when you are home you are always thinking I could be bringing in some money to help the family out but when you are working you are thinking I should spend more time with my children/husband. We shouldn't feel like that with our choice, we chose what is best for our family and that is the best thing we can do. I say look at your family and what is going to work and be best for everyone and you will find your answer. I wish you luck with whatever you choose.

I stay home ... I actually home school my children, but I found a few years ago with the economy's downturn that I needed to contribute financially. I found a way to earn from home ... and be my own boss. There was no large investment... and the company is accredited by the BBB. I don't sell, stock or deliver products. And even though I work from home... I am not alone. I am with a wonderful group of moms. My team provides me with the training and tools I need to do my work from home.
