How do we get these dead beet dad's to pay child support

Hi Sue,

I have been exactly where you are now. All of the advise above is good but you also have to remember your child, to your child it's not about the money. Your child picks up on all emotions you put out especially in regards to his/her father. I was very careful to make sure my daughter did not have my opinion of her father and that worked for me especially with his passing 3 yrs ago and ironically now we receive SS benefits every month. I also chose to not waste my energy on him after we split I said to myself "if he's not gonna then he's not gonna pay as long as I do everything I can for her then no regrets." Good luck

If you know where he works then you can sit outside and capture him either through pics or video working and then have the child support enforcement agencgy see if he has anything through the IRS. You can also report the company to a local agency in your area to have his company put under investigation for suspision of paying him under the table, the IRS may also be able to help you with this.

Just keep taking him to court. I know it may seem your not getting anywhere but if you have an order for support keep going to get it enforced. Thats what I did and they ended up issuing a warrant for his arrest. Some how he came up with the money. And things have been paid ever since. The key is to stick to it. I mean if he has a car or a place to live he cant claim he doesnt earn any money.

Have a warrant put out for his arrest. It depends on the state, but that is how it works in PA.

Well, it depends where you live... in Canada the government pays the mom and collects money off of the dads paycheck.. and if he doesn't pay them well they go after his house, car, what not... he can even end up in jail for not paying... Anyway, as far as I know that's how it works.
