My fiance/hubby's ex-wife is ordered to pay child support, and hadn't for three years, so we took it to the attorney general. We've been to court twice, and she has paid barely $200.00 or so of it, quit paying last month, and now our refund is being delayed because the attorney general wants to garnish her refund to pay us back. That means that we have to wait until she files! Yes, that also should mean that we will be getting extra money, I'm assuming, but I can't understand why they won't release our money now and pay us her garnishment later?! That would make more sense, right? It's like more punishment to us.
