okay so bio mom wants to have us stop child support and in return she will stay out of daughter life. she also wants joint custody and the right to have all medical records and school records. This makes no sense to me! Please help!!

Tell her your'd consider it if your allowed to legally adopt otherwise shes just getting the best of both worlds. I'm sure there could be away to agreeing for her to have those records, that's if she really wants them and this is not about her saving money.

Seems that would be a leagel issue. And the state would not allow it. In TN even if a parent signs away their rights or their rights are taken that parent still has to pay child support. Unless the child is adopted. Sounds like if she is will to not having anything to do with her child in order to save a few bucks I bet she would loose interest in other stuff to.she seems to just want to appear like she cares. Personally I would have laughed in her face. She can't have her cake and eat it too. Life doesn't work that way. She might as well get used to it.

The only reason to stop child support would be if she was giving up all parental rights, she can't keep parental rights and not be responsible financially tell her to stuff it.
