My husband and my son are always fighting and pushing thier limits with each other. How do I get this to stop?

There are things my son can do that i'm find with, but if my step daughter does it, it will irritate me and cause a fight. That is my fault that i'm so prickly towards her, she is significantly older than my oldest son, so i expect more from her but i have to stop and realize she is only a little girl. I have to make a personal effort to give her some positive reinforcment, somedays finding that something positive to reward is really hard but it has to be done so you don't come off as the evil step parent.

Thanks I will try it again. They have sat down and talked about issues before, but maybe with it being on paper it would make a difference.

have they tried to sit down at the table and talk things out. or try this and tell them its to help things get better.

give each one a peice of paper and have oneside for what they like about the other

and the other what the problem is. and go from there. but if all they do is fight between them . i know it must be hard on you. cause you are in the middle and you shouldnt be .

best of luck
