-My high school science teacher telling me not to waste his time asking him to explain anything. I was just dumb blonde and I would never get it.

-My dance instructor pointing to me during rehearsal and saying VERY LOUDLY, "big girls to the back".

-My parents telling everyone, in front of me, that my sister was the smart one.

-My soon to be ex husband telling me that is was my fault he was cheating on me. If I was prettier, sexier, more agreeable, dressed better, etc.....etc.... etc.......

Those are a few of a long list of things that have shaped me to become the person I am today. I want break free of these false perceptions of others that I have owned to be true. I want to wipe the slant clean and see who I truly am through my own clear lens.

hi tracie. i kinda feel the same way sometimes...i don't feel like my husband appreciates me at all sometimes. i'm a stay at home mom to 2 wonderful kids and although i don't earn a paycheck i still waork my butt off all day and i'm exhausted by then time i get the kids to bed!! he'll look at me and go how can you be tired you don't do anything all day! um...what????? i could say the same about him cause i've gone to work with him plenty of times and he takes like 100 smoke breaks and only works like 4 hours of the 8 he's there! ok i'm exagerating but you get the point! if the house isn't spottless when he gets home he'll walk in and go geez what did you do all day? he thinks that i lay on the couch all day and eat bon bons!! he doesn't get it all.

ok thanks for the chance to get that off my chest:)
