Is anyone here taking a statistics class?

I am going to see my professor tomorrow during his office hours, but I am trying to do my homework tonight. And I'm a little lost. I missed the class where he discussed Poisson probability and Hypergeometric probability. The person I got the notes from didn't understand the class, so didn't take very good notes.

Does anyone here understand these issues? Thanks!

Thanks everyone for your support. I took the final a week ago and just got the results back yesterday. I guess I understood more than I thought because I got an 'A' on the test. And an 'A' in the class. Yay me!... to quote London Tipton, lol.

well yes have just started my bachelor of business and my first subject you guessed it Maths and statistics will be happyto give you some info what don't you understand have a great reference Australian business stats ed 4 by selvanathan et al you can find study notes and other materials online that can give you the basics get your terms and definitions down pat so you can understand the questions

I'm taking the math one, I guess. It's all about probabilities and surveys, etc. And, yes, I'm still having problems with hypergeometric and Poisson. My final is next Monday, so hopefully I can figure this stuff out by then.

Is statistics hard? I was always sorta poor with maths. Though to be a psychologist I am going to have to learn this sadly :(

Depends on what kind of statistics class your taking. There is math statistics and psychological statistics classes..

My son could probably help. He is a math wiz. He had stat in high school. i could ask him if he knows anything about Poisson probability and hepergeometric probabilty. Do you still need help?

I am currently taking a stats class, but we didn't do anything like that. Sorry. I feel completely lost in my class too.

I took statistics a long time ago. Sorry I don't remember those topics. But I sympathize with you.
