Time Managment :S !

I am in Nursing School and I to am a single mother. What works for me is when the kids are asleep I study. I tend to be up very late hours but the kids need me. It was very hard for me to manage the house work but sometimes house work just has to wait. If my clothes are clean and dishes are washed the beds doesn't always have to be made.

Hi natasha, I went back to school two years ago and i have had a hard time keeping up with day to day work, kids and school. The good thing for me is it's part time and it's on line so I can manage my time efficiently and I feel they give me allot of time to finish my work. I try to find balance between keeping in shape, and fitting everything else in. Try to prioritize what's most important to you and start from there. There is plenty of time to finish school. I feel that taking care of yourself and your children is first then comes school. I do enjoy going back to school, but if I stress out about it, then it's not worth it to me, so taking care of you first will help you better balance everything else. try studying at night or a few hours durig the day if you don't work. I can't do it at night becasue I find I am too tired. I don't work during the day so I put in about 3 hours 4 days a week and that seems to work for me.

my mom watch my 5 month old son mon-thur while im at school. but i get him on the weekend. i do pretty much everthing with him.if i haf't to study most of the time i do it during the week before he get on campus.i also stay on - campus in a all girls dorm fu

of nursing and child-hood education majors so if ineeded to go somewhere my friends are always there.

Natasha! Congrats on going back to school, I too am doing the same. I have a three and one year old, and I can say that their strict schedule is truely what allows me time to myself. I do dinner, bathtime, story and then bed by as early as seven, no later than eight. Good Luck!

well when i went back to college my daughter was 18 months and i found it really tough. Now I prioritise, my daughter comes first and i get her to sleep by 7, so the evening is mine for homework and studies. Housework can wait, I usually have a weekend getting the house in order. In the week I just concentrate on looking after my daughter then once she is bed my studies.
