Well, my name's Donna. I'm about 6 months pregnant with a beautiful boy! He's going to be named after his father and grandpa; Michael Charles III.
When little Mikey gets here, I want to breast feed. I've read that when women want to breast feed they need to find out about nipple care and preparation. Well, my question is what does that entail? I've read and read and read, but still haven't found any answers. I figured good ole hand-me-down answers would probably be the best!
Any input would be great!

i used a nipple shield for the first few weeks...it kinda looks like a sombraro lol. also lansinoh nipple cream is by far THE BEST. Also, they make these gel breast pads that you refrigerate and can reuse until they are completely saturated, they feel so cold and good and the gel adds even more comfort. when your in the shower/bath DON'T sit in there letting the hot water run on your breasts...it'll feel good at the time but once you get out it's going to hurt!! massage your breasts to keep milk flowing and to keep the pain down from plugged ducts. i think that pretty much covers it, if there is anything else feel free to ask!!
oh and congrats on the baby and im so glad your breast feeding! it's the best thing you can do for your baby =]
