Reading, playing games, playing outside or going to the park, going to the library

We have a favorite local book store we go to & a local nursery/flower garden that we both love. Just looking at the Koi & the waterfalls and wandering the paths. Those 2 simple free place are the best mom/daughter days. :)

my son who is 11 and I have a monthly date where we go to the movies and have dinner out it is our special time together. My SO will play video games with him. With my daughter who is 2 we make crafts and dance, sing anything that lets her use her imagination. Her dad will watch tv with her and wrestle gently tickle her that sort of thing. My kids just like to hang out.

We really enjoy hiking, my son is 6 and really seems to be into it this year which is great because it gets us out of the house and actively moving. We also have passes to an aquarium and science museum and those are always fun day activities.
