Hey Y'all~
Can you believe it's March? Shocking how fast time goes, really! We have had a pretty good weekend. Thankfully everybody is on the mend over here. We went to the Rodeo Friday night, and had church today. There never seems to be enough "down time" on the weekends. I wish there was an extra 12 hours that I could secretly have so I could accomplish more things! Ha! Anyways, I wish everyone a Happy Monday!

Sarah~It was colder again this weekend, but nothing like what y'all experience. I think it was in the upper 50s or lower 60s and we were freezing! Ha! How was your weekend?

Sara~Wow! Congratulations on a sweet new little bean! I'm sorry about Doug. I hope that you get through the sick part really fast and feel great for your pregnancy. Do you have any help? Do you have a preference for girl or boy? Any name choices? Sorry! This is probably a lot to wrap your mind around right now! We are here for you though, so feel free to share your joys and vents with us!

I don't know how to edit my post but I meant that her temps were under her arm so add a degree. Her highest was actually 103.7. I just wanted to clarify that. hehe.

I'm happy for you Sarah. I know that the smaller space won't be fun but at least you'll be saving a ton of money from both rent and insurance. If you don't have room for all of your stuff, then you could still rent a storage unit and you'd STILL be saving money! lol. Just think, if you would put back all of the money that you are saving and act like you are still paying as much as you are now, then you'd have a HUGE downpayment on a new house so very soon!

Jacelyn is sick. I got a call from her daycare at 2:20pm. The one day I was going to get to work until 5, I have to leave early with a sick kid. Go figure. lol. She had a 101.5 temp when she woke up from her nap. When we got home about an hour after they took the temp, it was 102.2. I gave her some tylenol and took her temp again about 45 minutes later and it was 102.7. She fell asleep on my lap and by the time we got back from picking Carlie up and getting dinner it was about 6 and her fever was only about 99. something. It was back up around 7 so I gave her some motrin. My kids rarely get sick so I was worried it was something serious and called the doc. The nurse said that if she is still alert and acting semi normal than to just watch her. She said that if she starts showing any sympoms or getting lethargic than to call. We got home, ate dinner and then watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua. It was cute.

Hi everyone! I am so exhausted. It's been a little hard to sleep since the "intruder" last week. Rick isn't on nights anymore so hopefully I'll be able to get some sleep. Carlie has her first Spring Soccer game in the morning so no sleeping in. boo.

Janet, I'm a total failure at Sweet Sparrows already!  I completely missed out this week.  Connor has been up 5 nights in the last week and a half so I'm barely keeping up with my FB page as it is.  Just wanted to say Hello and that I'll try harder next week to keep up and do personals!

Okay, so I posted the pictures to the bbc picture thing. There are a lot of them so I will take them down in a few days after whoever wants to see them sees them. These were taken in January so the grass is all ugly and brown so just pretend it's pretty and green, at least I'm hoping it turns pretty and green! haha. It's nothing really fancy but it's enough for us for a starter house! Oh, and there will be some remodeling in the kitchen. I HATE the bar things above the cabinets. Not sure what they were thinking when they picked those things out! ha! We move in exactly 2 weeks from today!

Good morning ladies. So one good thing about getting off work early yesterday was that I got to take a 30 minute nap before picking the girls up. I just feel like i'm never caught up on sleep! Cooper is really starting to learn that he goes outside to potty. He went to the door this morning so I let him out and he ran right out there to go #2 and then right back in the house!

I need to get some work done and then I'll be back for personals. I get to stay until 5 today I think, because my mom is closing on her house today. Oh, I just figured out how to get the pictures of my new house off of the real estate site so I'm going to figure out how to post them on the bbc thing that Jenny made.

Good Morning everyone.  I'm exhausted.  Kade was up most of the night crying for some reason, so he is sleeping in right now.  MK is up and raring to go for some reason when I thought she would sleep in some too.  I am so glad it is Friday!!  I need to find something to entertain us so that the day will go by fast!  BTW, Thanks for posting the photo link.  I posted a rough draft of the kid's birthday invitation I made on scrapblog.  I don't know if I like it or not, but I did have fun making it.

I need to go for now, but HELLO to all!  I will ttyl!

Good Morning ladies

5 more days! Yay!  Today I need to clean the bedrooms and do laundry.  If I feel so inclined I'll do the bathrooms today too.  I am excited for this trip.

I sent emails to the ladies who we haven't seen in a while, like Shiloh, Lauren, Dana, Kita and Connie and told them we are more or less over here these days, and that we hope they'll join us.  Also, Donna, is sorely tempted to join too, and might this weekend.  But it might be a different name.  So if you get a friend suggestion from me that doesn't look familar it's her.  :)

Hopefully our stove will be fixed today.  It's been too long and too agravating.

Hope eveyone has a GREAT weekend.

Sarah! $2600 for insurance??!! Wow! That's cool that you'd save that much money though. I forget, what does your dh do again? $11/hr doesn't seem like a whole lot for working in a vet office. I would think you earned more. They should give you a raise dealing with all the crazy "critters" and stuff!

caleena playing w/ the hose BOOO =)  well i get something like $11. per hr and dh gets around $25 ish but he's union,,, i just checked and our car insurance for 2 cars is $2,600. for the yr if we move we'd save $1,000. its just crazy! if we moved dh wouldnt make that at all i think in florida for instance is like a $10. drop in pay or more.

hope everyone had a nice night. and are having a good morning...

I have got tons of catching up to do, so I hope you have a great day.  I am jealous of the nice weather.  Not too pity me too much, Phoenix will be in the 70s and 80s while we are there.  Who know what UT will be, so I'd better pack both coats and jackets.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

So I just found out that my hours are getting cut from 40/week to 32.5/week. That may not seem like a lot, but it's A LOT of money that I'm about to be without. Thankfully my house payment will only be $100 more/month or I don't think we could make it. They said it's hopefully only temporary. We'll see. I'm a little upset about it but I also want to look at it like a lot of people have gotten laid off so I'm lucky kwim? I'm sorry I can't do personals now. I'll try to get on later.

Janet - go to the sweet sparrow group on BBC and on the right hand side there is a link for sweet sparrows toddlers, click on the link and it will take you to our photo group.  It's just for us, and only people in our group can see it.  I've linked the two so you can switch back and forth between the two groups.  When you get there there is a link to add a photo.  find the file then up load it.  It's pretty easy

Hey Y'all~

Just enjoying some time to myself while the kids nap.  We help with the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders at church tonight, and then we have College Bible study at my parent's house after that, so our Wed nights are busy.  MK took a lot more steps today.  She would even stop and turn and continue to walk the other way.  CRAZY!  She is so close to fully walking.  Can't believe she is 10 months old.  Wasn't I just pregnant with her?????

It is hot here.  88 right now.  We played outside a little today.  It is only supposed to get hotter.  We are going to join the local swim and raquet club here this summer so there will be a good place to spend our HOT HOT HOT days!  I think I will get Kade swim lessons too!

Jenny~That is so crazy about the subs and stuff.  I hate when ppl don't follow through with their responsibilities!  Have y'all been playing in the snow?  Are the girls excited to go on a trip?   BTW, I want to show a picture in that place y'all created for us only.  Where do I go?  And is it private to just us sparrows?

Caleena~I hear ya about the sleep.  I have always struggled with insomnia too.  And currently I am trying to go to bed earlier so I can get up earlier and have some me time, and it is soo hard!  I lay awake for hours while Bryan snores.  Ugh!  Y'all enjoying the "Spring" weather?

Lara~Woo hoo!!  That's so awesome that everything is going so well.  Y'all started packing yet?  So when is your family going on their cruise?  Are you glad yall are getting a house now instead.  I would be!  Traveling is fun, but it's awesome to have your own place too!  How's your puppy doing?

Sarah~So close to DISNEY!!!!  Woo hoo!  That house sounds great.  It would be great to pay less in rent, but it would be great to have more space too.  Hard decision!  Keep us updated.  I think the difference in cost of living in different places is so crazy!  I think we pay around 1000 a month for our 1950sq ft.  3 bed, 2 bath, 2 living room, 2 car garage, and backyard...It's nice but remember we deal with the heat too!  Lol!  I love TX though.

Caleena - I agree, I think she should be released from this as well.  Unfortnately it's not my call.  I suggested to the lady in charge that we have a few teachers we should replace, not because they are doing a bad job, but teetering on burn out or have other stuff going on.  It's up to her if it happens or not.  We have a few "permenant subs" but lately we seem to be missing 2 or more teachers every week.   We are having a meeting on Sunday, and hopefully we can get all this worked out.

Lara - Woo hoo.  Almost there.  The murals sound great, can't wait to see pics!

Sarah - I don't know if saving the money would be worth loosing the space for me.  But on the other hand if you were saving the money for down payment on a house it might be.  Best of luck!

Mountains of laundry to do today, and Naomi has dance class.  We just dropped a small fortune for her recital in June.  AND we have to buy 5 tickets this year instead of 4 (last yrs request at $15 each) we would need 4 of course, but I don't know what to do with an odd ticket)

Morning ladies! I haven't been sleeping well and I really need to get my prescription for ambien refilled. I have such terrible insomnia! We're looking into getting a trampoline with the net for Rozz. There's one on Craigslist for $100 that I hope is still there. What a great way to wear her out:)

Jenny- I would think about finding permanent subs for the people that you can't rely on. It's not fair to the kids or you to have to scramble every week and not have steady lesson plans to follow because of someone's fickleness. And the person who's father is ill probably doesn't need the added stress of the kiddos and the commitment to being there every Sun.

Sarah-How fun! I say hit up some thrift stores to find some neat ideas to save space. Also, the summer is coming up (ok, well maybe sooner here than there, lol) and you can get a little baby pool for PR. Then he won't need a bathtub! I'm sure your MIL wouldn't mind letting him take a bath at her place every once in a while either. $800 seems like a lot for rent to me. Is she going to rent it out to someone else if ya'll don't take it?

Lara-I love murals in little kids rooms! Do you have any idea what you're going to get in them? Congrats on all the house paperwork going through! So fun!

So I got the call yesterday from my lender lady that everything with the loan is done and we are good to close as soon as the title company gets done with the paperwork. We aren't scheduled to close until the 17th. It's all seeming a little "real" now. I guess because now I know that everything went good with the loan. It's going to be a busy couple of months coming up. Both Carlie and Jacelyn's school announcements are packed with things on the calendar. Oh yeah and the best thing of all...The woman who used to own the daycare that the girls used to go to now works here with me. I don't know if ya'll remember but they raised her rent on the building and she couldn't afford it since a lot of the kids had dropped out because of parents losing their jobs. Well she was jobless and we needed help so I called her and got her the job here. She is best friends with Carlie's preschool teacher from that school. She was the BEST teacher ever! Well she was telling Carlie's old teacher about us moving and that she was going to help me paint the bedrooms and her old teacher volunteered to paint murells (sp?) in their rooms! How cool is that??? She won't take money so I guess I'm going to just take them both out to dinner or something!

caleena>>> and girls.. we're still not decided about the apartment. but this is what i sent to my friend

So we saw the house.. the upstairs is awesome!!! and the downstairs well.. needs work! to say the least. theres a pretty big master bdrm  a cute lil kitchen hook up for washer and dryer the bathroom is a good size But the living room is in the shape of an L  and there are two entrances if u go in one theres a room Which would be a bedroom  for patrick i'd have to bolt up the door and i could put a curtian up ,  we would be able to fit a dishwasher and i would need cabinets on the wall in the kitchen theres only 1 closet in the master which is big but omg what a diff it would be and of course mother inlaw said we could pick out rugs (ewww) but big patrick wants em,, and the paint. Oh and there is no tub but a weird walk in shower w/ seats idk i guess it would work but no tubbies for pr...  as of last night mother in law (mil) said she'll charge us $800. we're not sure now even though we'd save $400. and prob a few hund on car insurance but i just dont know... we'd really have to purge a ton of stuff and hit up ikea and use every frickin bit of space w/ wall shelves.  we do get a deck off the kitchen though.... and a nice lil yard  and theres a tree that had a swing on it.. so we have to think...

Good Morning Ladies

Ugh, I still have a sinus headache.  I wish I didn't have sinus problems all the time.  8 more days to Phoenix.  Well, all that blustery snow we got only dropped an inch, and we are supposed to warm up to 50 by the end of the week.  I hope that means spring is finally here.

Sarah - When are you leaving again?

Sara - Sorry Doug is being a jerk.  You'll be just fine. :)

Lara - YIKES!  That is one crazy story.  Glad you and the girls are safe.

Janet - That's crazy he ran away from you like that.  I hope that was only the first and last time he does that.  I didn't know you were a Medium fan?  I've loved that show since the beginning.  I am such a dork I have the theme song as my ring tone.  So - do you think Allison should have let the grandmother get away w/ it?

Caleena - Yes, we have permanent teachers, and they are responsible for finding their own subs, and if they can't find one they are supposed to call one of us incharge.  Like all the  3 - 7 yr old teachers are supposed to call me and the 8 - 11 yr old teachers call another lady.  But they haven't been doing either.  One teacher has been dropping notes on the piano just before class starts that she left and needs a sub.  And we have one teacher who's dad isn't doing well, so she's gone every other week.  Just frustrating.  Thanks for asking :)

Girls! Brrrrr! I'd love a snow day to stay inside and drink hot cocoa and watch old movies! That's not likely to happen around here though:)

Jenny-I hate things like that too! They don't have permanent teachers or is it just that they don't show up on a regular basis?

Lara-That is some story! How crazy. I would've had my gun out for sure:) He's lucky you just called the police! I don't remember what table, lol. How's the house stuff going though? Sounds like you had a really nice night out with your girlfriends. I love how an evening like that can make you feel "young" again, lol.

Does anyone ever hear from Kita anymore?

Janet-Sounds like ya'll had a nice weekend. I agree about the weekends seeming too short. I feel like I just sleep them away in order to get up enough energy to make it through the next week!

Lara~That is sooo crazy!  I would have been terrified.  I'm sure he was drunk though, and won't be coming back.  Wow...crazy!  Yay for an awesome girls night!  Fun fun!

I had a crazy day today.  You can read my blog to know more, its a long story!  Other than that, just need to do some work tonight and looking forward to my shows...The Bachelor and Medium.  Hope everyone has a good night!

Morning girls. It snowed here on Saturday too! We were at Rick's parents house that is about an hour away from here but it's up in the mountains. We left before it could get dark and when it was about 33 degrees. We were too scared to drive in it after it was under 32. It was very pretty though. Girls night was so much fun! We went to Old Chicago Pizza. I don't know if that's a nationwide chain or not. THe waiter was hitting on us all night. 3 out of 4 of us are married! haha. The newly single friend gave him her number. It was exciting! haha. I told them that the only reason he was hitting on us was because our tab was REALLY REALLY HIGH! Mine was the lowest out of all of them! hehe.

So, I have a crazy story. Rick was working over night last night. He left around 9pm. At 2am, someone was beating on my door and ringing the door bell. I called him, he didn't answer. I checked the peep hole and it was some guy I've never seen. I asked him "who is it?" and he said "me". I asked again and he said "Nick ____" I couldn't understand the last name so I asked again. haha. I still couldn't understand it so I said "Do you need something?" and he started turning the door nob!!! I told him I was calling the police. He said "okay" and walked towards the neighbors yard. I thought maybe he was one of the neighbors needing something. I wasn't sure. So I watched out the window and then I got to the back window by the back door and he was at my back door!!! I yelled at him through the house that the police were on their way and he walked off! When the police got there I opened the door and there was a white tshirt and a new balance shoe on my door step. The other shoe was in the yard! When I saw him through the peep hole, all he had on was pants and a hat so I guess he stripped down at my door step! The cop said that his shirt smelled like alcohol. The houses next to mine all are identical so I think that he was just lost and at the wrong house and drunk. As soon as the cop got there I called Rick and made him come home from work. The cops took the guys stuff and I was scared he might come back for it. It was like 20 something degrees outside and he was half naked! I put a note on the front door that said "Your shirt and shoes are at the police station!" hahaahahaha! Oh, and his shoes were caked in mud so he must have been walking from somewhere! It was so scary! I didn't get back to sleep until after 4:30am. My cell alarm was set for 5:30am, 5:45am, and 6am and it never went off. Carlie's was set for 6:45am and it didn't go off! I woke up at 7:35 and had to be at work at 8. I had to take a shower, get ready, get both girls ready, get them both to school, and to work. I made it right at 9! I check all the alarms and they were set for am, not PM so I don't know what the heck was going on with the alarms.

Sara: Congrats! I know that you were wanting another baby a while back. I'm sorry about Doug. Maybe he'll come around. We are all here for you! (((HUGS)))

Caleena: Congrats to you too! We love you around here so it's no surprise that everyone else IRL loves you too!!! What table are you talking about? lol I love those consignment sales that come around twice a year. There are two different huge ones. One was here this past weekend. I had a coupon for the preview sale so I got stuff that is normally gone before I get a chance to go, like shorts! There's another one in 2 weeks!

Sarah: Disney is getting closer and closer. So have you made up your mind on whether you're moving?

Janet: I LOVE RODEO'S even though I never go anymore. Rick is the anti cowboy! haha. Blair's ex bf used to ride bulls and it was so exciting to watch! Yay for everyone feeling better!

Hey ladies

Our March started out a Lion.  We are getting a blizzard today.  Kids are happy.  I am over it.   Sunday's are too crazy too be enjoyable.  It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact we are scrambling to find primary teachers at the last minute EVERY SINGLE SUNDAY!   I know it's a thankless job, but come on people this is getting rediculous.

Janet - sounds like a great weekend.

Hope everyone is having  a good day.  We are snowed in.
