If the tattoo means enough to you and is important enough....than it will have the same meaning at the end of the pregnancy when it's less of a risk to your baby. good things are worth waiting for..

So, this was the second time this happened. I took a pregnancy test 2 days before my tattoo appointment and it said not pregnant (it was a storebrand digital test). I took a ClearBlue digital test the day AFTER my tattoo, and it said I WAS pregnant.

Now I actually had a problem with this tattoo. I was allergic to the red they used and had a bit of an infection on top of the allergic reaction. I had a fever and all. This is one of the reasons they say not to get a tattoo while pregnant... even if you don't get an infection, it could cause some distress to the fetus, especially though if you do get an infection. I'm lucky that nothing happened though.

I wanted a new tattoo so bad when I found out I was pregnant but decided it best just to wait, just incase something could happen.

My tattoo artist will not tattoo a pregnant women, I don't think it's worth the possible risk to your baby.

I had a tattoo done a few days before I found out I was pregnant (I was about 3 weeks along when I got it). No, nothing bad happened. I asked my current tattoo artist about the risks and he said a lot of it was about higher risk of infection, etc. I hope that you would be able to wait the 7 or 8 months until after baby is born to get one. IT's never a good idea to take a risk when there's a baby involved.

thats your choice but there is a risk of putting your baby into shock so thats why 99% of artists wont do it if your preggers.
