I was 18 when I got pregnant and 19 when I had my daughter. I'm now 24 and my daughter will be 5 in a month! The hardest part was figuring out my schedule and her schedule because I went to college (and am still in it graduating this May) but I love her so much and she's amazing. Another really difficult part is being a single mother and doing it on my own, she sees her dad every other weekend though. It's hard to have two households with two different ways of doing things and her dad not always making the best decisions for her. I also had to do a lot of greiving when I was 18/19/20 because my family wasn't a family, I wasn't the typical college student, I wasn't the same as others my age and it was a lot. I think people don't realize that they go through the greiving process anytime their life plans don't work out how they wanted (I wanted her dad and I and her to be a family) but that's not how it is and it took a long time to get over that and deal with it. I'm completely at peace with everything now but it's still challenging having to explain to her why her dad's not around. And honestly I don't even know because he only lives 10 minutes away and he knows our phone number... But I'm happy with her being with me so I can't complain.
