My 4 month old son woke up yesterday with a brutal cough and a bit of a runny nose.. I gave him Tylenol and that seems to make him a bit more happy, but hes miserable. Any ideas on how to make him feel better.

Steam showers worked wonders for our son during the day and at night we would use a humidifier in his room. It also helps to elevate their heads while they sleep to make breathing easier. If he sleeps in a crib you could put a phone book under his mattress and if he is still in a bassinette you could put a folded blanket under the bassinette sheet. If his runny nose gets worse be sure that you use to nose bulb to clear his nose so that he can eat and breathe comfortably. I would suggest that you talk to your doctor before using things like Vicks as it's not recommended for babies that age. I hope that he feels better soon!
