my daughter is a year and half. in the past few weeks she has started to pull her diaper off all the time. is it too early to start potty training her? she goes into the bathroom with me and watches and tries to wipe herself with her hand. also what do i do to start it?

I dont think its too early, I started shortly after my daughter was one and walking. When she pulld off her diaper is it just because or is it when she has already peed or about to. If she knows she has just peed or is about to then its time to train. I would start by taking her anytime you go to the bathroom or she takes off her diaper and put her on a little potty so she can have her own her size. from there taking her after she wakes up, eats and even every 30min to a hour can help. Encourage her and she should fall into it. Once u start u will have to keep at it though, which can be hard and time consuming, but keep at it or she could fall back into old habits. Good Luck!!

im potty training my 15 month old and he isnt ever a year and a half. i dont expect much different babies take different times but if she looks interested it wont hurt to let her get used to the idea. ive been sittting my son on the potty since he was 14 months old and he know exactly how to tell me when he has to go potty and he knows where potty goes.

Maybe get a potty chair and sit her on it whenever you go to the bathroom. She may try to copy you or something. I don't really know i have a boy so his daddy will have to teach him. But i was planning on potty training my son when he gets to be 15 months. Well i will start there cuz i don't think he will get it right away...Good luck.

not to early. she is giving you all the signs she is ready. just take it slow with her. pull-ups have been the down fall of many mothers. use training pants. get her a potty and be consistant. every hour put her on the potty if she goes or not praise her. if she goes give her a special treat. find a upbeat song she loves and play it only when she is on the potty. she needs to sit on potty for a little while. maybe give her a book. make sure you make a big deal out of her going. mother of 4. grandmother of 4.

Did you know that an infant has no connection between there brain and bladder or bowel. So there fore you may beable to "catch" there wee/poo in a potty buy that does not mean they no when they need to go. Around 18 months is the average age in which these nerves develop.
But there is nothing wrong with familiarising your child with the toilet or potty

my daughter does all those things, but she is nowhere near to begin potty training. i was hoping to had started (and almost finished) by now. but she's simply not ready. Her doctor told me most moms dont even bother until theyre about 2

it depends on the child, my daughter does the same as yours but just isnt comfortable on the potty yet and she is nearly 2, just try her and see how she goes, she's the only one who can say if she's ready or not

My niece is 17 months so a little over and she has started to say potty so we have been starting to potty train her.We take her into the bathroom with us and sit her on her potty while we go.If she goes she goes and if she doesnt she doesnt. If you think she is ready to start than go for it no harm can come from trying to potty train her to early :D

i was potty trained at 9 mos.i work as a daycare teacher and have potty trained dozens of kids.its really about the child's preference.iv had 3 year olds who take a year to potty trained and a 16 mo old who did it in a few weeks.if she shows interest and it sounds like she does then its not to early.but trying to force her todo it will only prolong the process.the way i always started was putting the kids on the potty after i changed there diapers.always have stickers or candy handy if she does go in the potty as positive reenforcement but if she cries when you put her on dont make her.there are pottys that sing and they are really great because they make it interesting for the child.
