My hubby and I married in the courthouse I was 18 and he was 24. It cost us $100 (Donation to charity we had to pay) I was also 5 months pregnant with my 1st daughter. I do want a real wedding, maybe in a few years......but then again I would rather a house 1st. Just had our 4 year anniversary in April

I was 18 and my husband was 19 when we got married. We flew to las Vegas and stayed in the Luxor and were married in a beautiful chapel. We stayed 6 days there as a honeymoon and the whole trip cost us $2,000 and I couldn't be happier with how we did it! It was our 5 year anniversary yesterday and we are so glad we are together for life!

I had my little one when I was 19! My fiancee and I don't plan to marry until we are done having kids (I want my body 20/10 for my wedding ;) ) and we want to just concentrate on making more money to support our children first ♥

I was 19 and My Husband was 21... He's in the Army so we got Married at the court house.. which is common for alot of Millitary families... Going throught the Courthouse it cost us a Whole $120 to get married and get our certificate of Marriage... We've Now been Married for over 4 years and ahve a Wonderful 2 year old Boy!!

Me and my husband got married two months ago. We're both 18. We did a courthouse and it cost us about $70 for license, ceremony, and certificate. We paid for it.

I got married after my son turn a year old (not to his sperm donor). He was 46, I was 20. I think we paid about $30, but we just headed over to the courthouse. he paid about $500 for my ring and I paid about $1500 for his (but that was a few months later.

my husband and I got married last year ,,,we were 22 and 21 at the time ... we have been together a total of 5 years and have 2 children together... the wedding was very small only around 50 people... my dress cost me $30 and it was very pretty ... and the whole wedding cost under 1000 i would guess roughly 700 all together

i'm 18 and got married last month. My husband was 20. It was a simple ceremony with close friends and family. In total everything cost $550. We were going to pay for it but my parents in law offered so we agreed. The celebrant was 300, and the rings were 250. I used a dress I already had, made my own cake and used stuff around the house to decorate. Everyone willingly paid for their own lunch so it was nice and cheap!

I was 22 and my hubby was 25. Courthouse. $50 total. We were pretty much married already but it was easier legally to just do it. lol After 5 years living together we figured we were good to go.
To the people complaining that they want the "perfect wedding" I can understand but I can't justify it. My buddy just spent $20,000 on his wedding. Beautiful. Best wedding I have ever been to... but Twenty Thousand Dollars?!? Why? Selfishness. It's MY day. I should be treated like a Princess. I should be able to spend $1,000 on the PERFECT dress - that you will wear once. I promise your Daughter will not want to wear - it don't bother. She'll want HER Perfect dress.
What a waste.
Go to the courthouse and go on a long nice honeymoon. Weddings are for other people.

The first time, I was 19 and he was 25, Air force it was a courthouse wedding, after 7 years we called it quits.
This time, I was 28 and he was 26, Army. We did a court house wedding and are saving til our 5 year anniversary to have the "big wedding" . I think the court cost was $50.00, my family paid for a really nice dinner for us, his family paid for the wedding cake and things like that. I bought a prom dress that was white for $15.00 my shoes were $20.00 and he wore his Class A's. you can check out our wedding pic on my facebook page. We just had his parents, my mother, and my sister and her family. We didn't have to worry about things. The big wedding is for us, both of our first marriages were courthouse weddings.

My husband and I were both 19 when we got married and are now 21. I was 8 months pregnant at the time and it was really important to both of us (for religious reasons) that we were married before our son was actually born. We went to the courthouse with our parents and closest friends and got married on Valentine's Day. We live in Texas and it cost us a total of $175.00 for our license and to be married on such a widely requested date. It was simple and accomplished what we wanted. Now I am in the process of planning a renewal ceremony with a reception and for that we are looking at about 4,500 so far for about 50 guests. Hope this helps :)

We just got married a few weeks ago. I'm 20, DH is 23. We had a very small wedding, 12 people at the ceremony (including bridal party, guests were parents with their partners and our siblings). Reception was a few days later with 50 people invited, 35 who actually showed.
The whole thing cost us about $3000 in TOTAL, including all the food items, rentals, my dress and accessories, hair and make up. We used a lot of things that we already had. Family paid about $2000 of it and I used my $1000 savings.

We were both 22 when we got married 2 years ago. I wanted to elope but my hubby talked me into having the "normal" wedding, now he wishes we eloped as well but thats a whole new story. We paid for everything for our wedding, and had 47 people there including us. We wanted to be able to say we stood on our own two feet and paid for the wedding we wanted. We didnt want someone to say i'll pay for the cake, flowers or reception and then want to have them done their way. The whole day including my dress, his suit, 3 bridesmaids dresses and 3 groomsmens suits, plus everything else from the invites to the bombonieres and our 7 day honeymoon in fiji cost us $10500 australian dollars. One of my close friends spent $40000 australian dollars so our was quite low key compared to hers.

i was 17 and he was 19 when we got married. his dad is an ordained deacon and he married us in our living room. it was a small wedding with just our family there. his family provided all the food for the reception, which was also in our house. i personally wouldn't have had it any other way, we're both very close with our families and aren't into real big weddings, so this was perfect for us. the only thing we paid for was the marriage license which cost us about 60 bucks. good luck with everything :)

We are married. We got married when I was 20 and he was 23. We had a pretty simple wedding. Family and close friends, had it catered by a family friend, not too formal, relaxed. It cost about $8000 in total. We paid for most of it, with family contributing probably about $2000.

My ex-husband and I were both 19 when we got married. His grandparents, who were wonderful people helped to pay for it. His mother was a florist, and although she forgot the flowers, she did make some. My parents were there, and my dad walked me down the isle. I had a daughter who at that time was 4 and she was with us, and the daughter we had together was 3 months, and I carried her as a boquet of flowers. None of our friends showed up, it was on Valentine's Day. It was a nice very small service. I am great friends with his wife to be ( I think that is what I would call her) she is a great step mother to our daughter and son who live with them, and she has a son and soon to have a daughter with him. I think that I was too young to be married, I had dreams of college, I had a bad family life, there was just too much going on around me, and I did not know myself well enough at that time.

We where both 21 and we knew we had a baby on the way. I was 4 months pregnant when we officially got married. We had it at the park downtown and it was very beautiful, we paid for someone at the court house to come down and marry us and just had family and a few friends. We paid for our professional pictures, the court house, the park, my husbands suit and for seating our selves id say we spend around $400 out of our own pocket. not including the rings!! those where the most expensive part. everything else like my dress, food, flowers,reception etc was paid by both of our parents. it wasnt big and i prefer it to be like that. I am very happy with the wedding i had and wouldnt change it!

I was 16 when i got married my husband was 20. My parents payed for the wedding, we had our ceremony in the regestry office which i had close friends and family, then we had our reception in the same pub my parents had theirs which was nice :)

I am married. I got married before even getting pregnant. My husband is a Marine, we got married in April of 08, I got pregnant in Sept of 08.I was 18 when I got married. I got a Justice of the Peace wedding(just something small in the court house) It only cost about $150 for the paper work.

i had my first baby when i was 17yrs old. unfortunately, his father passed away when he was only 13mths old. i am now 24yrs old and i met a really great guy in 2006, and we got married in 2008, and now have a son together who is now 17mths old. my husband was really understanding when we first met because i came with a bonus! hahaha. but he treats my older son, who is now 7yrs old, like he were his own. my son knows and talks about his dad and so do i. my husband is a great step-father to him and also a great father. he treats both boys the same which is awsome. when we got married, we werent quite ready for it, and in te first year of our marriage we had to really work at some things. we are now happily married and in love with eachother and our kids. i hate the lable "teen mom" i was one myself, but i belive no matter what age you have your baby, your a "MOM" we dont go around lablling older mums as "over-the-hill moms" do we. trust me if we did, they wouldnt like te lable. so we are not teen moms, we are all brilliant, wonderful, loving and devoting MOTHERS! xxx

It is really sweet that everyone knows it's the two people getting married that matter not the wedding... BUT I still am determined to get my dream wedding lol.. Where I live, the next town has this beautiful property that overlooks a valley. It has accomodation, a place for the reception...EVERYTHING! But I know it's going to be expensive.. it's owned by the people who own Lithgow Valley Springs. Malina and Adrian. I even have my wedding dress picked out, the flowers I want and cake lol... I am so sad haha

well me and my hubby got married in october of last year and were 19 and 21. he is in the navy and was home on leave and weve known each other forever and we fell in love :) anyways he went back to cali and i was home in texas. well that was in july and i moved to cali in oct. and we went to las vegas on the 19th. it cost about 200 buck for the lincense and to pay for the chapel. it wasnt anything way special but we love each other and hopefully plan on having a real wedding in the future.

I was 19 when I got married. I am now 21 and my huband is 29. We went to the courthouse and got married it only cost us 45 dollars for the marraige certificate. It's not the wedding that makes a marriage it's the people in the marriage.
