baby movement question! can anyone help?

I had the same problem during my pregnancy. The dr told me that the best thing to do is figure around what time the baby usually moves when you do feel s/he moving. Then around that same time each day eat something and then lay on your left side. It doesn't always work but it is reassuring. But when you are further along you really need to keep track of the baby's fetal movement.

well sometimes your so used to your babies movement that you could just not feel it or they could just slightly move that your body doesnt respond to it because the movemnt is so little. dont worry about it to much just when you go in for your next check up make sure you let your doctor know and if s/he thinks its not normal then he run a little test just to make sure. you'll be hocked up toa machine and check the heart beat and keep track of the babies movement. if it'll make you feel better try drinking a cold soda, the caffine and cold feeling will get the baby hyped and s/he will more then likely move just make sure you either sitting or laying down thats when the baby is more likely to move because when you walk around your actually rocking your baby to sleep.

when i was pregnant with my son i felt him kick really hard at about 20 weeks..but he started moving way before that..you have nothing to be concerned about..the more movement the better..goodluck!!!

dont worry about right now. that child of yours is sill very very small, and your womb is so big in comparison. you'll probably feel them more at night or when your relaxing, than when your out and about. my daughter barely moved, and there were times when id thought i lost her. turns out she was lazy in the womb and enjoyed a placenta pillow as when she finally came into the world, her cord was less than a foot long. lol dont worry about it. if you find yourself overly concerned, go out and get the summer heart monitor. its this monitor thingy that your wrap around your belly, and you can hear the baby's heart beat through it. helped me alot because my daughter never wanted to move :)

I wouldn't worry.. Your baby has his/her own routine. sleeping for x amout of time then playing. You are not always going to feel it move.

when i was pregnant, my baby was exactly the same way. i don't think its anything to worry about, my doctor told me it was normal.

Im now 32 weeks hun & my babys movements changed all the time.....Sometimes she wouldnt move!.....My midwife said providing i feel atleast 10 movements a day there shouldnt be a problem.....Hope that helps.....x

my 1st moved heaps and then my 2nd didnt move as much but when he didn the moved for ages and heaps would roll right around. i dont think u need to worry, if u r tho go n see ur doctor.

Hi, I'm 24 weeks and I have this too. Some days I will feel her wiggling around and kicking like crazy ALL day long. Then, the next day I wont feel her but like once or twice and they are very light and short. I asked my doctor about this and he said it is perfectly normal. The baby is still small and weak but starting to pack on that baby fat so she will feel out more and have more senses stimulation now so be expecting to feel her more. And not to mention things that go hand in hand with her activity: What you've eaten, when you've eaten and how much, and a lot has to do with mommy's activity. If you are up moving around all day and not sitting down or staying still much then just the movement of your belly acting as a cradle is going to rock baby to sleep so she is going to be less active. If you are just laying around and not moving much then she is going to be more active becuase your movements aren't rocking her to sleep. That's why moms mostly mention baby keeping them a wake at night and that is when babys are reported as being most active because that is when the mommy is laying in bed and settling down with out much movement. When he explained all this to me all I could think was that makes a lot of since. Hope this helps and sorry it is so long and kinda beats around the bush but I wanted to make sure you could get what I was saying. LOL, I can be very dingy now a days. dont worry about it.its normal.sometimes when you move around alot your bodys movement is kind of like a swing.so it kinda rocks them to sleep.then when your relaxed their active.they will be alot more active when your around 6-7 months along. dont worry towards the end they will run out of room to wiggle.

i had the same thing going on with me when i was pregnant with my son. i felt movement early with him. sometimes he would move around for hours, and then some days he wouldnt move as much. he came out perfectly healthy, and still is today. i would say its normal because my obgyn wasnt concerned about it..

Babies move more when you're resting because when you move around it rocks them to sleep. My son was always up during the day with me because he's an oddball lol. The only bad thing (which you can't help) is that most babies come out having night and day confused because of it. Don't worry though! It's normal!

shes probably sleeping alot during the daytime &+ she may be moving at night while you're sleepinq so you might not even feel him/her my baby has started to move more at night now but she still has her random kicks during the daytime

it helps to get up nd move around or eat if you are concerned and want to get te baby moving. But some moms dont feel anything until 18 weeks or so. Don't stress out!

its normal. ur babies are still small. my babies jus started to constantly move and they r twins and im 25 weeks. once the baby is bigger, u will want it to stop...lol

im 33 weeks pregnant and my baby does the same thing i ued to think something wa wrong to but its perfectly normal sometimes they stop moving simply because there sleeping as u get further along in your pregnancy u goin wonder why your baby moves so much....but the nex time she stop moving and you get kind of scared drink something ice cold and try laying on your side that should get the baby moving....good luck on your pregnancy nd if u have anymore questions feel free to message me.

thats normal and the moving sh become more regular like s/he will get a schedule goin my baby boy seems to be most active thru the night and early morn and also he loves when i eat cuz he starts kickin alot wait till it hurts lol

my son is 5 weeks old now. however, when i was pregnant he would move for days on end then would be quite for 2-3 days. dont worry he/she will be fine, if it dont move for longer than that or you get concerned get intouch with your midwife

i wouldn't worry just yet its stil early days.

its only in your last trimester really that you have to make sure they move at least 10x a day x

yeah some times it can be the food you eat or if you drink something with alot of sugar and then relax or sit on the couch for a while because when you are up and moving it usually rocks the baby to sleep and its soothing, and when your are still and not moving they like to wake up and check things out, im 35 weeks along and when i was in your positon my daughter was always moving, she never stopped until i got my flu shot and wasn't feelin very good and i thought there was something horribly wrong, but its really ok for your baby to move alot, there's nothing you have to worry about, if your really concerned then ask your doctor

First and most important try to just relax. Sounds pretty normal to me. As you said your baby is still very small so there may be times that your baby is actually moving but you don't feel it. As far as moving too much..I'm not sure there is such a thing. Good luck and enjoy this very special time in your life :)

they really cant move too much. i asked my doctor about that one day becuase it seemed like she would never stop. but its fine. it just means that they like to move.

yeah i know what ur sayin im not so much worried bout the not movin cuz im still kinda early in my pregnancy i was more wondering bout the baby movin all day.. s/he was movin last night from 2am til 8am is that bad??? and its 11:20am and im still feelin movement i know i sound crazy just im worried that my baby is movin to much..

im 24 weeks and I know my babys there, she moves sometimes non stop and then other times seems like she isnt moving.



but dont worry! he/she is moving! sometimes you just get used to the movement feeling and dont notice it as much if at all once baby gets bigger you will notice.



also I hate when I want to feel the baby move I dont, thats also another thing you think the baby isnt moving because it doesnt move right when you want to feel it move.
