My daughter has outgrown her booster seat the one with the straps across her chest, I was wondering when it would be ok for her to be in her booster seat that she can have the seat belt across her chest. She is over 36 pounds

at only 36lbs i'd keep her in a 5point harness for as long as possible my 6yr old is 46lbs 47in and in a 5 point harness and only being 3 1/2 she would be much safer in a 5 point harness car seat what car seat do you have now so long as she still fits and it's not expired i'd keep her in it

she is three n a half..... n the last time she went to the doctor n march she was 36 inches

Nowadays there are a really big range of large baby seats.
How old is your daughter? And how tall is she? Im not sure where you are, but here in Australia it is recommended to have a child in a baby seat untill they are at least 4 years old, then swap to a booster seat.
