How cool!!! We are almost the same! LOL! Minus the Irish. I don’t speak the language either but I can cook some good food! :) I’m going to add you, I hope you don’t mind.

yea my son loves cooked veggies and fruit, and i only buy all beef hotdogs and all natural chicken nuggets, he also loves cubed chicken and grilled onions and peppers,we have recently stopped giving him juices and just giving him milk and water, he hasnt complained at all i think he likes it better, and he eats a lot of fresh fruit so i kno he is getting the nutrients he needs, also LOVES guacamole, homeade stews, whole grain rice(doesnt really like bread), and cottage cheese........ hummus and pita bread is something i havent tried yet, but i will thanks :)

I've homemade all of our 19 month olds meals since he started eating solids at 6 months old. Some of our son's favorites are....homemade pizza, cubed chicken, beef roast with potatoes and carrots, homemade hummus and pita bread, fresh steamed veggies of all kinds, fresh fruit of all kinds, yogurt with fresh fruit, cottage cheese, cubed cheese of all kinds, beans of all kinds, mac and cheese, chicken and broccoli casserole, homemade soup, grilled cheese, apple sauce, homemade sweet potatoes fries, homemade pot pies, scrambled eggs, avocados, pasta with homemade cream sauce, whole grain rice. The options are endless you just have to get creative :) I try and stay away from processed foods or foods high in sugar. I'm always sure to offer a protein, veggie, whole grain, dairy and fruit with each meal. Good luck!
