does anyone use condoms for birth control?

I'm on the pill and we use condoms. Since we started dating we've had two broken condoms. Safe to say I remember to take my pill everyday ;]

If it doesn't break they are very very effective but if it breaks it's hit or miss I guess. We are using condoms right now because our insurance won't cover a diaphragm so while we are figuring this out we use condoms. If one breaks I think he will notice and stop but if we got pregnant it wouldn't be devastating since we are married and financially ok. But my baby is only 3 months so I think it would be unfair for her if I had another baby so soon.

I dont know how effective condoms really are. My boyfriend and I used them. But we didnt use them all the time. I think the best way to go at it if you dont want to have anymore is to get on birthcontrol and use condoms.

i have been thinking about this too, i dont want to get on the pill because i dont know how serious my relationship will get etc im too nervous to just use condoms though cause of the other possibilities. Maybe the morning after pill aswell? I personally dont trust condoms cause of other peoples experiences

me and my hubby dont trust ourself to used condoms purly becuase its so easy to forget when ur right in the middle of things and this is how we ended up with our 1st, also like the others have said they have so much room for errors

Honestly in my opinion both parties should you protection. Remember condoms can have a whole in them, or break, better safe than have a surprise baby

Condoms have a lot of room for error, just like any other form. If they are not put on properly, they can get microscopic tears in them.
Just remember for all of you out there using birth control, if you get on antibiotics at all, it will cause your birth control to NOT WORK! You need to be using an alternate form of birth control for 30 days AFTER you are on your antibiotics and while on your antibiotics.

would i suggest only using condoms if your serious about not getting pregnant ... NO .. I would talk to your dr and see what else they could suggest .. such as the needle ever 3 months maybe

Thankyou for the help! me and my fiance are just using them and nothing else cuz I dnt wanna go on the pill and I dnt wanna get prego again for awhile being were only 18 and just had a baby so I'm so scared of getting prego lol but thx!

My soon to be husband (tomorrow) and I used them for about 15 months and didnt get pregnant. now we are trying so we arent using them anymore!

honestly I did use them as birth control after my 2nd baby was born ... i was on the pill for a few months but they messed with my sex drive and drove my husband nuts so we went to only condom ... he had the big v at the same time so we only had to wait so many times before he was in the clear too.. so I guess I can't fully answer your question but I think they were effective since we only have the two kids lol
