HELP! Baby wont eat vegies.

[deleted account] ( 6 moms have responded )

I started my baby on solids about 2 weeks ago, i was told to start of with apples, pears then potato, pumpkin ect. I tried my 6 month old with the potato and he wouldnt eat it at all! Same went with the pumpkin. Has any one else had the same problems with their babies? If so, how did you overcome it? Please help :)

Gravy and dips are a total lifeline. Give 'em a try.

FYI if you don't have good meat drippings for gravy, try "Better than Bouillon" rather than jar gravy. And butter is also a lifesaver. Plus, your baby NEEDS animal fats for his/her little brain to grow properly. Just keep in mind teething periods; my daughter wouldn't eat ANYthing but fruit during teething. Babies need fat, period.

Heh, starting on apples and pears, who'd want broccoli? Where's all that good sweet stuff gone? Keep offering different stuff (dress it up with butter or gravy if that helps) and eventually she'll take what she needs. My daughter never had pumpkin in her life, and she's doing fine ;) If you cut the lettuce/tomatoes small enough and put some lovely ranch dressing or Catalina dressing on it, that might help.

If you see this, leave this form field blank.
