Sit up, not leaning at all. That helped me, casue i was exhausted! But my head board was really painful to sleep against so If i started to fall asleep i would know and be able to concentrate. Also when he was big enough I would nurse him on my side and pull the bassinet right up against the side of the bed so if he did somehow manage to roll over he wouldn't fall off. Don't lose hope it does get better!

When you get up with him in the middle of the night grab an ice pack or something cold and put it on your head/face or the back of your neck! That's what I did to keep myself awake, and it worked quite well [=

I had that same problem when I was going to school and had my first son. I would come home and stay up all day and then when it was bed time I would fall asleep with him in my bed next to me. The thing that I did was set my phone to go off after every feeding so I knew it was time to put my son back into his bed. I think that if you try this it could help you also I know that it is hard to be a really young mom. I was 15 when I had my 1st son and was still going to school then coming home and making dinner for me and my little brother that I had to watch while my mother was working. I just want to tell you that It is hard now but you can figure it out and you can make the best life for your son. You may be young but if you pray and keep your head held high things while all work for it's self like the deal with falling asleep with your baby maybe you will start waking up on your own to put him back into his bed. Good Luck and Congrats.
