How do some of you teenage mothers handle attending school?

Im 22 years old and just started going back to school. I got to school for 24 hours a week and for 15 hours a week. my bf works about 50 hours a week and is a full time student too...its hard but I always tell myself if I can get throught this time in my life then I will be able to get through anything. We're trying to better ourselves for our children and thats should be enough incentive too

I study whenever my daughter is ok with playing by herself or sleeping. I go to the library a couple times a week so that I can focus, and it's awesome. I get so much done in the few hours I spend at the library. I'm sure someone, your parents or grandparents, would be willing to watch the baby so you can go to the library & study.

right after i had my son i was on homebound which is when a teacher comes to your house and tutors you until my son was 8 weeks. Then i went back to school and i would do my homework at night while he was sleeping or if he happened to nap. if you have any free time during school try to get your homework done then. if not get it done while he sleeps then sleep yourself. you need to be well rested in order to get good grades and take of your child! Once it came time for college which i am just in ther begining of i decided to do online classes,it takes alot of motivation but ti has a lot more freedom!

I'm in 11th grade and I go to school online. I go to Keystone National Highschool. Its technically a homeschool program, but everything you do is on the computer. It's all self-paced and I can stop whenever I need to. It's great because I can stay with the baby and stop anytime she needs me. And all of the money I would be spending on a babysitter is about the equivalent of my classes. It is fantastic.

I live in CA so I was lucky enough to graduate early by getting my certificate of Proficiency. Have you considered your GED? You can receive your GED early because your a parent. You can even attend a adult school instead. If you have any questions msg me.

i went to a school that was for teen moms, which made it easier. they helped me and i finished a lot of my classes in packets. ask if you can try that? or ask if you have a online high school you can take a few classes on?

Well I'm out of high school but I still go to school, I go to college full time 8 - 4 monday threw friday...I don't get that much home work but when I do, I try to do it when my daughter is in bed, i put her down around 7pm every night so that i can have time for myself and school work, maybe try to go in the mornings early if you can and get your school work done then, or if you have a study hall? or maybe stay after school to get it done? Whatever it takes I would sure do it.

My high school has a daycare so its awsome that i get to take my baby boy with me while i go to classes, and the best part is its free!!

I'm a senior and have an 8 month old now. It really just takes a lot of patience in the end. And having a good support group to help you really helps too, like if someone can watch your child while you do your homework, or just wait to work on assignments after they go to bed, sure you lose a couple hours of sleep but sometimes it's the only way. take advantage of nap time and time in school that they let you work on your assignments, and a lot of schools will actually give you allow you a little break if you explain the situation to them and if you don't abuse the privilage. hope it helps some :]

I intend to go back school when it restarts in september

Im very lucky that i have severall sets of grandparents who will look after my daughter now and then

my daughters also going to have full time nursery paid for so she could stay later some days if i need the extra time

i also have a fantastic partner who will look after her somedays to help me out n then i have her

its about finding a routine i hope this helps x
