my bubby is 6 months 3 weeks n 1 day and today as clear as day she said bubba more than once, but how do u know if its her actuall first word or just a sound. it sounded like bubba but how do u know

i think that when they say ma or da repeatedly its bubba talk but mum dad etc is words my lil ones says huh and yeah on occasion lol its so cute

if they say it regularly.
my son used to say mum when he was crying but i wasn't sure if it was actually his 1st word cuz he'd only say it when he was upset.
but one day he clearly said dada .. now he never stops.
pretty sure he says hiya and yeh now too.
he still only says mum when he's upset .. very rarely wil;l he say it when he's in a good mood.

my baby started sayin his first word MUM at about 3 and half months but he only says it when he is crying or being whingy..... its a start though =]

You may think I am crazy, but my son is 3 and a half months old and he does say mom or mama. He has said mom many times and when he cries he keeps repeating mama. I think if it is a common word they hear and they keep repeating it, they are saying first words. Congrats :)

my daughter is 7months and says mum,dad and nan.....i see them as words not sounds because she will say a certain word depending on her mood....when shes upset she will cry nan nan nan.....when shes happy she goes dad dad dad and when she wants something she wil go mum mum mum... if she was just babbling baby noise she wouldnt know to make certian words for the moods shes in.

My bubby is 5 months and she already says bubba and dada as clear as day you can pretty much tell the difference between words and the baby talk....watever i hear her say i take as a word if she says it more then once..
