it takes 6-8 weeks for your uterus to go back to its normal size, and I'm pretty sure that the first 2 weeks after having baby your body is still in baby hormone mode anyways, and normally it can take 6-12 months to get back to your regular weight ( which totally sucks i know) you really have to eat healthy and exercise, dieting isn't a good idea if your breastfeeding, but reaching for carrots and dip instead of chips for a snack will help you lose it faster. just be patient, when i had my first baby i didn't exercise at all but i did eat well enough, and i was only ten pounds away from my pre-prego body by his 1st birthday, if i had exercised i would have been in great shape. its all up to you my dear, if you try you will succeed i promise! just realize that you cant lose in 2 months what you gained in 9. hope this helps my dear

It depends from person to person. I lost most of the baby weight when I popped out my son. I gained about 40 lbs with him. So I weighed about 160 lbs or so. But now (6 months later) I am back down to 120. And I am still lossing weight. I am now trying to eat better and work out more. I belly dance 5 days a week and walk at least 7 miles everyday. But I did breast feed for the first 6 weeks after I had my son and I hear that helps out a lot. But good luck. Don't do any crazy dieting or anything. Stay healthy.

the best advice i can give is to breast feed. i had my son almost seven weeks ago and i only weigh 10lbs more than i did before i got pregnant and i haven"t even been trying. while i was pregnant i gained 35lbs so that means i lost 25lbs by doing nothing but breast feeding. so if you do that along with diet and exercise you should be good to go. good luck, and have fun at prom!

it depends how you eat and exercise. i had all my baby weight off by 2 weeks after he was born but, i was very busy taking care of my son on my own. but it also depends on the person i guess. ive always been thin. 100 before pregnancy, 140 when i gace birth and down to 98 by two weeks post. Just saty healthy and active, it should fly off girl! Have fun at prom! =)

It takes some time. I was 135 lbs pre pregnancy and was up to 200 lbs by delivery. I got back down to my pp weight in about 6 months but i was also exclusively breastfeeding, which helps you burn an extra 500 calories a day. I just ate healthy and exercised 5 times a week, at least 40 min. Per workout session. I would run outside, like on a track, 2 days a week, take a pilates class 1 time a week, and do some form of cardio the remaining days. The best, and healthiest way to lose weight is to eat healthy foods, in moderation, and exercise.

My son is now 15wks old i haven't lost all the weight, i'm not trying very hard though lol. Something that makes me feel positive is, it took 9 months to get your body that way (pregnant) so give yourself the same amount of time to lose it :)

it takes at least 2 months for ur uterus to go back to the normal size, but i got all the weight of and 5 pounds more by 6 months! idk exectly when i was back to normal but it was prob like 4 months after i had her. im guessing prom is in may or june?? you will prob be just fine by then, dont worry about it. we are young!!! lol
