My name is Heather and i had my son when i was 15 years old. It was terrifying at first because of my age, and still to this day there are times when im not sure what to do for him. It helped me a lot. He's given a lot of joy to my life, and made me realize what my life is really all about. It was hard to finish high school but ive done so and now im in college. This little boy of mine has done soo much for me.

My name is Amy and I had my first son Aiden at 16. He was born premature and passed away 3 hours after he was born. I then had my miracle Isabella at 17.
I got pregnant with my third (while I was on birth control) and I had him when I was 18. I am now 19. :)
My boyfriend has been with me through everything, and we will be together for 5 years this september.
I believe I am a great mother, and age doesnt matter. Its maturity.
Yes, I wish I had a teenage life, but I wouldnt trade my angels for anything in this world. They are my everything.

I had my daugher at 19, turned 20 about three weeks later.

And I think it's ultimately a great thing. Yeah, it's made life more of a challenge for me and my husband. But not in a bad way. It's actually given us some motivation in life, and I can honestly say that neither of us really had any before I got pregnant with her. I would say life is much better now. I couldn't imagine how things would be without our daughter. =]

I was 17 when i became pregnant with my son & 18 when he was born.

at first it was a little strange, i was in my senior year of highschool &

began to "show" towards the end of the school year so i noticed alot of

people looking at my face then my belly EVERY time they saw me. but i mean,

my son ment more to me then any of them did so it taught me who was worth

my time.

We were 16 when we found out and I had just turned 17 a month prior to having our daughter. We got married at 19 after graduating highschool and starting college. After finishing college we had out 2nd. Now, we have children ages 15, 8, 4, 1 and have been together for 17 years, happily married almost 14.

Having a child in high school definitely changes the game and makes it a more difficult one. However, having overcome such an obstacle has made us the strong individuals and couple that we are!

Hi Brittany. I was pregnant at 19 and had my son at 20. He is now 11. My husband and I were together off and on and have 2 daughters now as well. We did get married a year ago. Having my son changed my life dramatically. I was ready to grow up but his daddy was not...... We were together off and on throughout the years. Having my son gave me courage to do the what was right for him regardless of his father's choices and with or without him. We have a beautiful family now and I wouldn't change it for anything.

I am a single mom now her father is not in the picture much he only comes around every few months or so. We were married for two years but he was cheating and never home with me or my girl. Anyway being a mother is hard but you take it day by day and you do get by and it's always worth the troubles and stress. Age does not define how good a mother you are or can be!!!

I have a job and I feel as though I have my life together. She has been such a blessing, I could never imagine my life without her even if I were still in high school failing physics and didn't have a job.

Hey Brittney, I'm Monica. I got pregnant with my baby girl (15 months) when I was 18 and had her shortly after I turned 19. I'm 20 now I'm not as young as most of the "teen moms" but as a young mom, I still get those dirty looks because I look so young and have a baby. I don't let any of that stuff bother me. The baby's dad and I have been together for almost 4 years and are doing great. And my family helps out a lot and I couldn't do this without any of them, I am very thankful and blessed!

Hi Britteny,

I was 17 when my son was born, he is 19 years old now. It's been a long hard struggle, but I wouldn't change it for the world, I also wouldn't recommend doing it on purpose. His dad was a big part of his life, but we never married, we grew apart in our relationship as most young couples do, but managed to be friends for our child. I have to admit, if it hadn't been for all the help I got from family, I don't know how we would have made it.

I feel that being so young when I had him has made the relationship between me and my son different than most mother/son relationships, because we grew up together. We have more of a brother/sister relationship than mom/son. We are good friends, and he will talk to me about nearly anything. I am not saying this is always a good thing either, there are times I wish we could have a more traditional mom/son relationship, where I tell him the rules and he follows or else. He was, and still is, quite a free spirit. He likes to do what he wants, and my rules don't really matter much and I never really inforced them because I didn't want to punish myself to punish him. The only advice I can offer to young mothers is CONSISTENCY! Always say what you mean, and mean what you say! And follow through. Fear of Mommy is a good thing! Keep it as long as you can!
