I'm worried that my expected baby girl might come out as a boy. i heard its common, and i'm just worried because there's all pink stuff! does it happen that frequently that i should fret about it?

it does happen sometimes. but i wouldn't really work yourself up about it. request another ultrasound if at all possible the next time you go to the doctor. make sure you kept your reciepts!

my mother doctors actually told her that i was going to be a boy but instead i came out a girl. the umbilical cord was wrap around my legs which gave the impression to the doctors that i was a boy. i wouldn't be to sure that your doctors is right but just in case grab a few boy outfits.....

my sister was told a girl 1st child...it was right
then a boy second....it was also right.
they told my mum that my sister would be a boy but she was a girl lol
i didnt find out the sex oof my daughter...good job too because im glad i didnt have to worry like this lol

If you had a good technichian, then it should be right. Mine was right bothe times. I had the same fears with each one. I was getting what I wanted each time and thought it was too good to be true. lol. Good luck hun!!

it happend to my friend sarah ... she was suppose to have a boy and she had everything she needed sahe went in for a c section and it was a girl and no one told her it was a girl untill the next day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they r usually right. i dont know anyone whos had an ultrasound and it has been wrong...good luck

Its not very common...if they saw the 3 lines which shows them its a girl, its a girl. If they couldnt tell then u never know, but i wouldnt worry to much. Most stores will let u trade/refund as long as its never been opened, most of the time with or without a reciept.

My Mums friend was told that she was having a girl all they way through her pregnancy and even just before the baby was born she was showing her the baby's uterus and everything but he came out a boy. I dont know how she could have been so wrong especially because she was showing her "female" parts. True story!!! So just to be on the safe side keep things neutral because nothing is 100% until the baby is born so you can see it for your own eyes!!

It is really rare for an ultrasound to be wrong but a girl in the womb will have the parts that resemble a penis until 18 weeks. So if you got the ultrasound after that then it is a lot more likely you have a girl. That's why usually Ultrasound Techs wont tell you the sex until 20 weeks of pregnancy. It is also largely dependent on the experience of the Ultrasound Tech

Did your OBGYN find the vagina on the ultrasound or did she/he just not find a penis? If your OBGYN found the vagina...then I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that it will be a girl =] sometimes the doctor will just not find a penis so they assume it will be a girl. My doctor couldn't find a penis, my daughter was sitting...her head was directly up and her bottom was resting at the bottom of my uterus...so she did a vaginal ultrasound and even circled the vagina. My fiance still wasn't convinced...he asked her what the percentage was that she could be wrong. lol. She was 99% sure...he really wanted a boy, but is happy with having a daughter =]

When my mother was pregnant with me the doctors told her I was a boy, and my.. They were wrong!
The best thing you could do is to buy neutral colors for clothes/toys and encourage others to do the same. White can be beautiful and goes with everything, and green looks good on all babies (that I have seen).
What I did was buy mostly neutral and then buy a couple things that where specifically for a boy and for a girl. Little things that I thought I couldn't live without if I did have that gender. haha

they can get more girls than boys wrong but im not sure how frequently it happens. I'm expecting a lil girl in Jan and I too am worried that it is a boy (but luckily i have a one year old son so still have all of the things i had for him) hope all goes well for you xx
