A great thing for games, google it! I found this AWESOME website with 101 baby shower games, and some of them were just wonderful. At my daughter's shower {my sister threw it} we just had some chips, dip, and cupcakes. But, I was young, and didn't want much more than that to begin with. This is my 2nd child, and my mom and I are helping my sister this time to ensure it's what I want. Food wise, we are doing "mini foods" because we are having a "mini addition". I'm going to be baking a lot, because it's my and my mom's passion. But we are also doing little puffs filled with pimento and cheese, chocolate pudding, egg salad, and just simple things like that. As for decorations, I'm having a boy, so we are doing mini napkins {blue, green, yellow} folded into diapers, and safety pinned closed with peanuts and baby shower mints in them. It's a cheap, simple way to make your shower wonderful, and exactly how you want it. Just make your shower comfortable for you. Foods that you like, games you are comfortable playing, and decorations that match the gender. My mom has been doing things like this for years, so I am fairly sure things like this are a hit at any shower!

baby shower games are sooo much fun!

We always play the clothes pin game. Everyone gets a clothes pin when they come in and then you explain that if you hear someone say the "b" word..(baby) you can take their clothes pin. Whoever has the most clothes pins by the end of the shower wins.

The baby sock game.Take a bunch of different baby socks and throw them in a box or a bowl. Someone is times 45 seconds to see how many pairs of socks they can match in that time. And of course in the end you get the socks, and who ever pairs the most socks wins.

Take a newborn size diaper and place small objects inside, (things that are small enough for a baby to swallow i.e. a penny, a small hair clip, a bead, the tap of a coke can, a tylenol etc) and then pass the diaper around and let everyone feel it to see if they can guess whats inside :D Whoever gets the most correct guesses wins.

Baby shower bingo. Make your own cards, with random baby items in random order and everyone plays while you open gifts. They mark off the things on their card that you receive. First to bingo wins.

There are so many awesome ones :D

As far as decorating, we used plastic frogs(cause I was having a boy) and wooden baby blocks. For my little girl we had looney toons but you dont have to have a theme. Sometimes its cute just to do different stuff. Just sit cute pink stuff around and I suggest putting some pink kool aid in your punk to make it pink. We have put platic duckies in the punch, or since your having a girl, the dollar tree has plastic dolphins... just an idea :D

for my baby shower, we're doing a potluck. We're asking everyone to bring in a dish, dessert or a finger-food. we want to ensure there's a lot there for everyone and then the extras that will come too.

you can decorate as much as you want. we're just doing some balloons, ribbons, a sign, and some table cloths. we're making it as cheap as possible, we have bills we still have to pay...

there are a lot of games that are online. google baby shower games, and you'll get a bucketload of different games.

good luck!!!

get a roll or two of toilet paper and pass it around to everyone let them tare off how much they think would go around your belly and then try them on and see who was the closest. make a puch drink and put like pink or blue mix in it and get bath duck toys and put them in the drink as decoration in the puch bowl they will float on top and look so cute. get a tray and put baby things all on the tray pass the tray quickly around the room and then hid the tray from everyone give everyone pin and paper and let them write down everything they can remember that was on the tray. that way you get everything on the tray after wards. good luck and have fun at your shower!!
