My son Jacob is 18 months old and has started to get really interested in the turtle potty i got for him recently. I was going to wait a few more months to start potty training him but now he is interested i am wondering if i should start sooner? Please let me know what you think

i would go for it ...he will tell you when he is ready and he is. My only advise is if he starts to back off than you need to too. Just go with what he is showing that he is good with. Good luck

I'd say go for it! I started potty training my son at 18 months and he was trained with no further accidents in 4months!! You can always try and if you don't think he is ready then wait a little longer, hope this helps xxxx

I would let him sit on it whenever he wants for however long he wants. You dont have to take his diaper or even paints off right away. Just explain it to him, let him sit on it, I started my son as soon as he showed intrest. He was about 18mon. Hes 4 now and we still struggle with #2 at times. Its all the child. Good luck and use your best judgment. You know your child better then any book or dr. If you think hes ready go for it!
