I'm 40 weeks pregnant due tomorrow. about 2 weeks ago i went to the toilet and when i wiped i had a green snot looking thing. early the next morning when i went to the toilet i was bleeding so we went to the hospital and they said i was fine. all that day i had brown everytime i wiped.
and n ow for the last week ive been losing more of the green snot looking thing there is heaps of it and its always slimy and green. i have told doctors and they said everything is fine they never seem to see it. Is this normal and what should i do? i've been wearing due to losing alot it makes my nickers dirty.

it sounds to me like you lost your mucus plug. So get ready for your beautiful bundle.

If you are getting alot of blood i'd be conserned and go back to the doctor to make sure everything is normal.l. But small amounts are normal leading up to the birth. The yukky distarge is normal leading up to the birth. Not long to go now though congratulations.

weird, my 'plug' was 1 chunk of mucus weirdness that fell into the toilet and I thought 'how strange' it wasn't until much later I read about a plug and how it is normal so I figured that is what it was..... but I never read about it being green. Don't worry overmuch though. As much as we hate doctors and they overlook things, be grateful if they are not worried about you and they think it is normal! They flipped out on me when I was 'overdue' and scared the life out of me. Don't let them do this to you. And if you aren't sure, ask for more information! I've met lots of doctors who are so brisk and uncaring you have to really slap them upside the face to get a peice of their soul to appear and just dig to get what you need out of them. Afterall, you paid for the appointment, you are the patient and deserve to know you are okay. No one is going to stand up for you but you, so ask as much as you want. Did they even tell you this could be the plug? Ask ask ask.... tell them you don't understand.. whatever it takes for them to open up lol :) Good luck and congratz!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D there is much more worrying to come! A new babie!! Aaaaaaah!
