HI guys...you know, being a parent at any age is hard. You need all the love and support that you can get. I have an 18 yr old daughter who is going to be a 1t time mom in July. I cannot imagine her having to go through that alone. My heart and prayer go out to you. I know the thought that your kids arent going to be able to meet their grandparents is awful, but you have to teach them about them so they can know their past. Keep your parents alive in your kids lives. Maybe you can also befriend someone who is older who could bea "surrogate" grandparent to your children. Best of luck to you all...

i lost my dad in febuary 07 and i found out i got pregnant in march 07. he was my best friend and its really hard to know that he never got to see me as a mom. and that my little girl will never meet her grampa, who was the coolest guy ever. and my mom remarried this summer so it wierd that i have a step father now. me and her were never close until my daughter was born. i still miss my dad every day but what helps me to keep going is reminding myself of how sick and unhappy he was and beliving that he is in a happier place now.

Thanks for the comments, My Mom passed away when I was about 7 and my dad when I was 17. It has been hard to deal with so if anyone has any suggestions that would be great. It just makes me sad to know my son will never meet his grandparents.

my father passed away 2wks before my 11th birthday and i am now 26yrs old
