i was 18 when i had tyler my 2 month old son. he was born july 14th i stayed home for 4 hrs of labor got to the hospital at 6 cm dilated. i had the worst back labor. they broke my water i got my epidural and didnt feel a thing after that. i started pushing at midnight and had him at 12:11 am :) 7.4 pounds. i only needed 2 stitches. only pushed 11 mins!

I was due ont he sunday 20th of june started getting bad contraction on the 20th kinda ignored them and just walked alot they got really bad by that night so my mum took me to the hospital and the midwife said i was 1 cm dilated and to go home so i did and just kept walking and everything like that i started to bleed on the monday (The next day) and went back up again and the midwife told me i was faking the pain and she can tell when someone is in labour, so i went home again then on the tuesday i was up there for my weekly cheek and they cheeked me and i was dilated 2cm and wanted to keep me up there to see how things went then that night a midwife came around to see me and i was crying in pain and she said "Oh i know why ur crying your worrie your going to be a bad mother" and i got very angry and packed my bag and got my mum to take me home i was in so much pain finally on the wednessday morning my mum took me to the cline to see a dr and she cheeked me and said i was 3 cm dilated but bubs head was sitting on my cervix wrong and was pushing on her head! she he moved her over probly and i was put in the labour ward and put on gas! at this point it was about 8.30am i was dilated to about 5cm at 3pm and my sister was telling the miwifes to break my waters and they did. i went and had a shower straight after that i came back t about 3.15pm and sat on the bed and felt i needed to push so i started and she was coming and then the cord got rapped around her neck and started choking her he heart beat drop now to 30bpm...she was out and on my belly by 3.25pm.

With my 1st---a daughter named Dasia Skye-- I was induced November 2nd 2005, 2 days before my due date, because they thought she wasn't getting enough nutrition and that maybe something was going wrong... she was going to be only 4 lbs (which she ended up being 6lbs and 5oz). I went in at about 7, they started the pitocin at about 10... I pushed for about 15-20 minutes and had her at 3:37pm. All natural...well excpet for the numbing shot for my episiotomy... not even any pain meds afterwards. She was 6lb5oz and 17 3/4 in long.The most memorable part about it was that after I delivered her, but before I delivered the placenta.... my mind must have been outta it, but I asked the doc how she was going to get the umbilical cord back in there... lmao!



With my 2nd---a son named Benjamin Lee-- My water had broken at about 5am, but I wasn't sure that is what it was because it was just a few drops (with my being induced with my 1st, they broke my water and it was like a darn river flowing).... so I proceeded to take a bath and go back to bed... then started having pains in my back... so I woke him up at about 7 and told him my water had broken like 2 hours ago (he totally FREAKED...lol)... we got to the hospital and I ended up having him at 11:16 am on February 2nd 2010. He was 22 1/4 in long and 8lb9oz. With him, though, I had back labor--which is the WORST-- and I still did it all natural, with my bf and seester by my side....

I didn't know i was in labor. I had a doctors appointment that morning. I wentv he chacked me and i was 3 cenimeters dilated and having contractions. i went to labor and delivery and they broke my water. I got the epidural about 2 hours later. I was in labor all night long and about midnight her heartrate dropped. They stopped my labor and the about an hour lator restatred hit. i pushed for three hours and then had a vacum attempt. she was stuck. so after 24 hours of labor i was taken to the operating room for a c-section. The medication they gave me was too strong and i slept through the delivery. i woke up in the recovery room and saw her for the first time. i fell in love. she was 8 pounds 5 oz. she was born with an infection and was in the NICU for five days the had to go home with a biliblanket. i think that for my next baby i will have a natural birth at a birth center. i never want to repeat this... i wasn't even allowed to get out of bed, and that was before the epidural.

My labour was a real horror story! Lol! But I would do it over again!
Sunday I went into the hospital as my baby wasn't moving, they told me her heart was in trouble and she was in distress, but I was already in labour! I had no clue! I had no pains or anything, apparently I was 3cm dilated. They said if I didn't progress soon they would induce me to speed things up.
It was the following Thursday I had made it to 6cm dilated. This was the first time I felt a thing, by this time Chloe's heart was stabilised. But they went ahead and induced me anyway.
I had no pain relief until I was told on the Saturday that her heart was in trouble again and I would need a C-section. They put in the Epidural and broke my waters, and put the monitor around me to look at her hear rate again, they said there was no time for a C-section and used forceps to pull her out instead.
I was cut servilely and ended up haemorrhaging and needing 2 blood transfusions. As well as 2 layers of stitches. The best bit was looking up and seeing blood on the opposite wall and ceiling! It made me laugh because it just didn't look real, like it was from a horror film!
So I was 6 days in labour and Chloe was 10 days over due!

On June 20th I went to my friend's grad party at 11:45am and my contractions were about a hour apart and then when I went to leave her party at 2:45pm,I got into the car and I felt liked I peed or my water had broken..Well I wasn't sure right then and there if it was my water or if I peed so I just let it go and continued my day until lik 5pm that nite when the contractions got worse and my boyfriend started timing them and they were every 5 minutes apart so I tried laying on my side and drinking juice and takin a warm bath to see if the pain would go away or what well it didnt so then at 5:50 I called the hospital and told them wht was going on and they told me to come in and get checked..Well I got to the hospital at 6:15pm and they checked me and they said my water had broken so rite there I knew it was my wter at 2:45pm that broke..lol..and I was 2cm dialated at that time.So they then took me into a birthing room where I then called my boyfriend to come up since my mom took me in..They monitored me on the machines from lik 6:30pm-7pm and then I walked around the hospital floor from lik 7pm-8:15pm and then they checked me and I was 4cm and then thats when I asked for my epidural.They came at about 9:30pm to give me my epidural and that when my boyfriend and mom went out to grab food for themselves..Once I got my epidural at 10pm I felt great cuz the pain wasn't there anymore but I hated that I couldn't move my body..I then got some sleep from lik 11pm-3am and then the doctor came in to check me again and he then said I was lik 8 cm dialated..So they refilled my epidural bottle and then I layed back down and watched tv..Well at lik 7:30am on June 21st I called the nurse in cuz I felt lik I had to either poop or push like rlly bad,there was such a great amount of pressure rite there..Well she checked me and i was 10cm and all thinned out so she called the doctor and the nurses and she had me began to push at 8am and I finally a hour and a half later gave birth to my lil boy at 9:32am.He weighed 7lbs 1oz and 18 1/4 inches long..I tore a lil so they stitched me up...

my first - I was 16 nd they admitted me to hospital with high blood pressure. my mum nd partner had gone home nd a few hours later a midwife came nd got me to take me to birthing suite to be induced which i was not even told was happening that night, i rang my mum nd partner to come up straight away. after a while nothing was happening so they sent them home so i could rest. i started getting contractions just after 11 so took a shower, the pain got so bad i was kneeling on the floor then buzzed a nurse.. she came in looked at me nd goes " you aint felt nothin yet love this is just the beginning" nd left me... a little bit later i started throwing up from the pain so i buzzed again nd another midwife came in nd sed she was taking me to birthing suite, i got there on the bed they checked me nd i was 10cms dilated. they finally rand my partner and mum (bcoz this whole time they wouldnt let me ring anyone for support) they got there with 40mins to spare nd after a short time pushing my beautiful son xavier was born at 12:50am on the 23rd oct 2006. no drugs, no stitches but an etremely painful birth because i had a reaction to the inducing gel tht made my contractions more painful nd closer together than normal. but all sooo worth it :)

my second birth - was a week overdue,, admitted that morning to b induced at 7 am nothing all day,, induced again at 7pm. mum nd partner sent home so i could rest.. around 8 started gettin pains but didnt think it was labour lol so midwife gave me a sleeping pill at around 9:30 just after i took it my pains increased heaps so i jumped in shower. buzzed the nurse cause of pain nd 2 midwifes came to help me out soon as got to my bed my waters broke and i got lots of congratulations from other mums in the room,, thankfully they let me ring my mum nd partner while on the way to birthing suite at around 11:15pm i got put on bed nd given a pethadine shot,, then the sleepin pill kicked in nd i fell asleep between evry 2min contraction lol. my beautiful son tallyn was born at 12:01 am 17th feb 2009 :) nd then the pethadine kicked in :)..no stiches but did get a 4 degree tear . sorry for the big story lol

I had a very quick labor I was induced at 11 in the morning because I had preeclampsia and it was getting worse with my heart rate increasing to a dangerous state. So they started pitocin at 11:30 broke my water at 1:30 and I was only 3 cm. My family figured it would be a long day so they went out to lunch while my fiance stayed with me, the doctor came in at around 2:15 because I was in a lot of pain, I asked for an epidural and they finally got it "going" by 3 and I was . At this point I was in a lot of pain still the epidural did not take and I was told that I was going to have to go without pain medication or anything to help they checked me around 3:30 and I had gone from 3 cm to 9 in an hour and was completely effaced. I was miserable and my doctor was on call, the nurses kept on telling me to not push as my sons head was crowning. It took my doctor 30 minutes to get to the hospital and by the time he got there my body was already pushing and I couldn't hold back. He walked in and I push 2 big times and my son Jace Roderick was born weighing 7 pounds 8 ounces and 20 inches tall. I tore a lot but it was worth my bundle of joy. So long story short I was in labor for 4.5 hours. whoo!

i started having minor contactions on the monday night (may 18th, due date was unclear somewhere between the 17th and 24th) didnt realize what was happening, id have a 'weird' feeling in my stomach and then a small amount of fluid would "leak"i just thought it was my bladder (lol). my husband was on night shift so when he got off the next morning i mentioned it, didnt think much of it, but we decided that if it hadnt stopped by the afternoon we'd go into the clinic. about 3:30 pm on tuesday we went in, my reg doc was on holidays the student doc that had been working with him throughout my pregnancy seen us come in, she brought us into an examination room immediately. it just so happened my reg doc was picking something up from his office and seen us go in, he asked what was going on and said to admit me and do more test to find out if it was in fact amniotic fluid that was leaking. it was. i went through 3 cervadils, the first and second in the hospital the third at home which brough on "heavy"contractions went back to the hospital (they'd released me temporarily to see if a familiar environment would help, this was thursday evening) around midnight. contractions were lasting around 2 min with about 1 in between. on friday morning it was decided a pitocin drip would help. all the while i hadnt been dialating much at all. with the pitocin drip my contractions increased to being close to 3 min each with about 45 sec to 1 min inbetween, all the while not dialating. by about 830 friday night i decided id had enough and wanted an epidural (everything up to that point had been pain medication free) they called my reg doc in (hes also an anesthesiologist) he did the epidural (while on his holidays) ran that with the pitocin drip till around 11 then shut everything off for the night. sat morning my doc came in topped off the epidural and restarted the pitocin drip. things continued as they had so far, very little progression. but this time with WAY less pain haha! finally by about 3 pm on Saturday may 24th they decided a C-section was required. by 4 pm i was in the OR. when they attempted a spinal tap it didnt work, so they had to put me under for the procedure. i woke up about two and a half hours later to excruciating pain. turns out the c-section, normally a 5-10 min proceedure took half an hour, apparantly my daughter really didnt want out haha. after everything it turns out i never dialted more than 3 and a 1/2 centimeters the entire time. my daughter was 8 pounds 14 and a 1/2 ounces 20 and 1/4 inches long.

My daughter-

My OBGYN took her vacation, sent me to a replacement, he stripped my membranes november 12th.. He went on holidays on the 13th.. got up with my son morning of the 14th, played outside all morning, put him down for his nap at noon, sat down on the couch and felt pinches lasting for 60sec. that were 7 minutes apart.. the time quickly changed and shortened throughout the coarse of an hour.. Ben woke up, we went back outside to play with the neighbours little girl.. My sister came over with her boyfriend and her 3 kids (i was supposed to watch them while they christmas shopped) contractions were bareable and virtually not there but my mother made me go in anyways.. needless to say Ben went with my sister.. I went to the hospital, I was monitored for 4 hours. They repeatedly tryied to send me home.. My mom refused.. at 8pm they admitted me to the hospital.

Labour- This time i requested no IV I wanted to do it completely naturally.. in which I did.. almost.. the doctor that finally delivered me broke my water at 8:55pm and my daughter was born 9:12pm, 7lbs 14oz 19 1/2 inches long. :D

I was induced with my son, October 30th I had a doctors app. turned out i was 4cm dialated, got induced at 6:30am October 31st 2007, started plactocin around 8:00am, dialated to 10 in half an hour, pushed for 40min.. appeisotomy (3inches) too many stiches inside to count! 5 outside.. Benjamin 8lbs 5oz, 21in long. No pain medication.

I had my little boy on the 5th november 2009 i wasnt due till the 25th november but went into labour 3 months early an had to be slowed down and eventually had him 3 weeks early. i was in full labour for 4 days i went in on the sunday an got sent home coz i was 3 centiremteres dilated and then kept going back in eveyday day to get cecked. i was in a lot of pain an no one could understand why then two days before i had my boy they told me i could have an infection and thats why i was in so much pain but my results wouldnt be back for 48 hours. i then went into hospital on the 5th november witch was the thursday and had him at half 8pm an i had gas and air and a waterbirth . then the morning after he was born he got rushed down to speacil care with breathing problems not eating makeing grunting noises. he spent a week in spaecil care before they new what the problem was and then spent a further 2 weeks in hospital after we new what he had and to get it treated. he actually had strep B witch is an infection in my blood witch i pass to him threw the birthing cannal when he was being born. i didnt no i had it because you dont get tested for it whilst your pregnant but we did nearly lose him. he was also allergic to oxegen and had to be weaned onto it an we did get told if we had took him home he would of died as soon as we got out the hospital. i was actually born with the inection but you dont no you have it till you have your first baby because you dont have symptoms at all. it turns out that it did show up in my test reaults but not till 2 hours after he was born but no one cecked them beacuse they thought he was a healty baby. i didnt need stitches and was pushing for 6 hours in total. he weighed 6,8 born but by the time he was comeing home he was only 5,12 coz of his illness

my first was 7 hours and i gave birth to my second on the 23rd of july this year my waters broke at 3am on the 22nd and was in hospital untill i gave birth i was in labour for 24 1/2 hours and pushing for 2 and 1/2 hours my lil boy was born faceing up into the world and i had gas and air and an epidural but the epidural only worked down ones side of my body so i was in alot of pain so much for them to say that the second is always quicker.

I went in the night before I was to be induced (I was to be induced July 10th of '08) because I had started bleeding and wasn't sure why so they told me to come in so they could check on it. I had just gone to the doctor two days earlier and wasn't dialated or having any contractions which was why I was getting induced. Anyway I get there and am still not having any contractions showing up so they decide to stop the bleeding and just keep me over night so I could be induced first thing in the morning. They check the bleeding and next thing I know the doctor on call is telling me to go invest in some hair clips. Apparently I never knew I was in labor and was now crowning. Needless to say I went in and had Peyton about 15-20 minutes after I got to the room. i also had her naturally because obviously I was too late for the pain meds. Oops. lol I ended up needing three stitches in the end.

i had my baby ella at 16 and went into labour about 7.30pm on 3rd feb i went to the hospital about 9 pm i was 8cm dilated when i went in and gave birth to my beautiful daughter at 10.04pm she weighed 6lb 13oz. I tore in 1 place and it took 1 hour to stitch. i never had and pain killers or anything x

My contractions started at 2am on the 14th of dec, i was at the hospital at 6 am and they checked i was 5cm dilated so i went home to try to most of it at home i was bak up there that night wiv high blood pressure, the next day at 12 i was still only 5cm dilated so they had to speed things along as Declans spine was on my spine and they had tried moving him but he wouldnt budge! so they tried scratching at my waters ( which still didnt break until my son was born) close on 7 hours after that my son was born at 6.51 pm on the 16th of December wiv heaps of internal stitches but only 2 on the outside- and i still get pain from them =( I tried gas during labour but gave up, and did the rest naturally. Declan was born 16.12.09 7lbs6 and 53 cm long and was home from the hospital by 10 am the next morning =))

i was 18 years old, i was almost 1 week overdue and i had an appointment at 630 in the morning on wednesday the 22rd to be induced, and the day before i had to go in to have a gel inserted into my cervix to help it completely thin out, i started getting contractions while they were doing it but they told me that the gel only caused about 1-2 women to go into labor a year so i figured i would be okay, when i left i was still in so much pain but i was so hungry from not eating very much for breakfast, so my boyfriend and i took a 30 minute drive to sonic for a cheeseburger when i got home to eat it i couldnt even move so i had him call the dr and they told me to come in immediatly, when i got there it was about 1:30 pm (i got the gel at about 10 am) they checked me i was only about 3 cm dialated but i was having contractions ever 1-2 minutes, it wasnt too bad tho..i didnt get the epidural until about 6:30 that night and they checked me after giving it to me and i was 6 cm, then an hour later my water broke and it was so cool because we could hear it pop on the baby monitor, and then at 830 i started pushing, i was laughing while pushing because of the faces my boyfriend was making due to the fact that he had never seen a live labor, and laughing actually helped the baby come out more and more, i had her at 9:05, and i tore and had 5 stitches...she was 7 lbs, 1 oz. and 19.5 inches

Wow My Story Is Nothing Compared to yours Haley... Heres My Story--> Okay In October I was Sent To hospital because i ahd high blood pressure and having twins so they kept me in hospital till i deliver my due date was jan 4(hmm). So I sat In Hosptial Till November and on the 3rd my mom snuck me sum outside food into the hospital and that night my belly was feeling weird i just thought it was kicks... but they were contractions and about 12 that night my water broke and the doctor was busy and took an hour to get to me then about 330 they said i was dilating to fast and had to go in for an emergency c section :( i was sooo scared. and at 4:14 my daughter came and 4:16 my son came on Nov. 4 2009

My due date was June 29th, but I was induced on July 3rd at 4pm. I was 1cm for about 3 weeks! The inserted a pill into my cervix when I got in and only inserted it twice. Then my contractions started at about 11pm and then at 2am they gave me the epidural. (which worked amazingggg) On July 4th, I started pushing at 12pm and had my lovely 8lb 5oz baby at 12:49pm :) Happy Fourth of July! I got to watch Disneys fireworks that night from my hospital room.

With my Son, I was 17 & I was in labor for about 5 days, & then on my due date my water broke at 8 am , on December 15th 2007 , I was admitted into the hospital, when I got there I was 5 cm & then at 11 I was 8 & by 12 noon I was pushing him out with no drugs all natural. With my daughter I was 19 years old & , she was giving me contractions, all that day around 2 30 am they were 2 minutes apart, so I called my SO home from work & woke his mom so she could watch my son, & then we laughed & joked. at 3:30am I went in, & was admitted at 4:30 which is when they were going to give me pain killers until they realized I was 8cm. By 6 14 am after nine minutes of pushing Isabella was born, feb 9th 2010.



Both of my labors were natural & I was able to laugh & joke through my contractions with my daughter but not so much my son!



But the funny part is my both of my labors were only 3-4 hours each!

i went into labour saturday morning on 17th of april really painfull lol had my baby boy 17 hours later at 9.46pm i got cut so had 2 have stitches nd he was 8 pounds 4 oz, he ws rushed to intensive care he wasnt breathin stayed in der for 4 days den he came home den couldnt be more happy

well i went to pack my hospital bag cuz it was four days till i was due... well i had the erge to pee so i did my mucus plug came out and then bam my contractions started off intense and only four mins apart... so i called my midwifes and told them...about 830pm on the friday. then i waited till about 10 and my contractions were only a min apart so we went to the hospital and it took them and hour just to find the opening of my cervix cuz it was at the back of my sons neck. then at midnight i was told to go home... well me my mom and fiance went home and just watched tv nd talked... then the next day at about 11 i went to the hospital again they gave me a shot of morfin and i had the gas everytime they checked my cervix...after the morfin started to ware off they said i could go home... well at 10pm that night i went back in and was 4cm dialated so they admitted me... i got the epidural cuz at this time i was in labor for 15 hours or so... then finally at 11 my water broke and then i started pushing at 8am and my son was born at 10am on the dot....i was in labor a total of 39 hours and had two hours of pushing and i had to have the forcepts cuz at last min my son turned onto his side and so i ended up taring and had 4 stiches... but it was a long long labor and im now 39 weeks preggers with my second son and im so hoping it doesnt go that long again lol

I'm 16 and i had my son on the 4th of September. I went into labour around 5pm, water's broke at 1.15am and that was when i realised i was in labour (thought it was braxton hicks). Got to the hospital about 1.40am and i was 8cm dialated. By 2am i was fully dialated and at 2.57am afer 4 pushes Alexander was born. I had no pain relief and no tearing. My son weighed 7 pound 11 and 20.3 inches in length. I think i was fairly lucky when it comes to my L&D and i was only in hospital for just over 9 hours. My son is now 10 days old and i love being a mum even if it is hard sometimes

well i was 18 when i had my lilman,hes my first child. i was early my due date was 4th of May 2010,but he decided to come a whole month early, i had him on the 4th of April.i didn't know i was in labor at all at the beginning. i thought i needed to go to the toilet or i had sum unusual cramps.i called my midwife she said it could be false labor, so i just had a shower and started cooking some dinner. it got a bit sorer so i said to my boyfriend lets go to the hospital to go get checked out, i got to the hospital they had a check and i was 8 cm dilated they broke my waters, about an hour of being at the hospital i had him at 10:36pm weighing 6.6oz i just had 2 grazes pretty easy i thought all natural no drugs.

Hey i just had my daughter on september 4th. Was in early labour for 2 days then in heavy labour for 24 hours. I wanted to have a drug-free birth but after being in labour so long gave up and had an epidural. I pushed for about an hour and she came out so fast the nurse barely grabbed her lol. I got a tear that didn't need stitches but got an infection and my uterus is incredibly sore from such a long stressful labour. My waters were broken for 18 hours. My midwife broke them when she shouldn't have and didn't make an appearance at my daughters birth....My baby was 7pound 10 ounces. An epidural was the best thing i ever did! I actually enjoyed giving birth!

Oh and i almost forgot because of the contractions i'd had for days i hadn't slept in 3 whole days/nights...I don't even know how i was conscious lol...My poor partner hadn't had sleep in 30 hours either

i went into to the labor center because my placenta was leaking put wasnt fully broken. so 2 days in the hospital and i finally after they broke my water got to start pushing at like 9 pm but my iv to induce me fell out and i stopped contacting 6 hours later i started pushing again and my father inlaw went into a full grand mal seizure in the same room. they wheeled me out of the room so i could finish pushing. it took me about a half an hour.

I woke at 4am on the 1st March 09, thinking I needed to pee and I crossed the room before GUSH. I was stood in a puddle, I think I stood there for like 5mins just staring down lol. I called labour ward and they said to go up about 10am to get checked to see if it was my waters. When I went up they took a swab and told me to go home and come back the next morning to be induced if it didn't happen that day. All day I waited, I was having tightenings irregularly all day. At 11pm we were about to sit down to eat a curry and watch 'the dark knight' with a friend. But I couldn't eat and the tightenings (my contractions!) were regular so I phoned labour ward and they told me to take paracetemol and go to bed. But I knew this was it. So I phoned my mum and we went up. I was examined and the midwife couldn't find my cervix! So someone else looked and they couldn't find it cuz I was 9cms dilated and my sons head was right down. I tried to go for a pee but before I even got to the loo, I needed to push. I pushed for nearly 2hours but my contractions (which still only felt like tightenings, no pain at all) were slowing so I had a drip to keep them going but had to have a ventouse (sucky cap) and an episiotomy. Hayden was born at 3.34am on Monday the 2nd of March after 4hour 40min labour with no pain/ pain relief! He weighed 6lbs 10.5oz.
His little bro or sis is due March 21st 2011 :) And I can't wait for labour!!

I was 19 when I had my baby girl. A whole 16 days early, and 19 days before my 20th birthday.
When I went to my last doctors appointment on the 1st of June (2010) the doctor had told me that I was already 1cm dialiated. I'm a smoker, feel horrible for it now, but just couldn't stop, had a high stress job (for me anyways) and was super tiny. My doctor told me that because he was worried that if she got too much bigger that it would become more difficult for me, so the plan was to induce on the 23rd. On the morning of the 12th I started feeling like she was having bad hiccups. I noticed about an hour after it started that i had started bleeding. I called the hospital and they told me that I should wait until I was super uncomfortable or my water broke. On the 13th at about 10pm I noticed that these "hiccups" were getting stronger and were almost getting closer together (one time would be 5 mins apart next would be 7-8 mins), so I called the hospital again, and again they told me to wait. I live 40 mins away from the closest hospital, so you can imagine I was concerned I may be having her in the car lol. I told them that if I was sure I was on my way that night that I would call back to tell them. We ended up leaving the house at about quater after 11.
My father-inlaw sped through red lights with his hazard lights flashing the whole way. We get to the emergency entrance where two paramedics had just followed us in. One came to ask what was happening, the other went to help my fiancé find a wheelchair. I was trying so hard not to let my body push but I could feel that it was happening. The paramedic asked my name and how far along I was, so I answered, I'm 37 weeks pregnant. The paramdeic replies with... "Oh, so it's not a big emergency then" ...and my father in-law says "um, yea it is...she's having it now" So into the wheelchair I go. The whole way up to the materinity ward all I could say to my fiancé was "No matter what I say, just remember I love you!"
So they get me into the examination room or w/e it's called. Look at that 8cm dialited and my water is rupturing. Almost midnight now. Nurses where scrambling to get everything ready for me. One nurse asked if they had time to call my doctor...nope...did they have a room ready...almost...do we have time to move her into a room....barley, better start running now!
They wheel me into the room that I stayed in, and not even 5 minutes later my water broke with full force. At 12:28 my beautiful daughter was born.
My father in-law went to park the car, have half of a cigar, then came up to see if we were leaving or if she was coming that night, but when he got up to the room, he got to meet his first grandchild...all he could say was "She's OUT NOW???" 5lbs 9oz 19ich long.

i was 15 years old when i gave birth. i started having pains 8:30pm august 19 , ( i was due aug 16 ) .stayed home all night because i was scared ha . i stayed up all night because of the pain . in the morning at around 11am we went to the hospital . they made me walk around the town to get further into labour & also into the tub . around 5pm my water broke & i went into HARD labour . i did this all natural as well , no painkillers . around 2 hours later at 6:56pm my son liam aiden was born :) he was 8lbs.

My contractions started at 2 am march 11th my due date was march 10th, my midwife got to my house at 8 pm the next day and said i was already 9 cm dilated and asked me if i would like to stay home! So i ended up having a home birth which was amazing! We had the lights dimmed and my daughters 3D ultra sound video playing on the t.v. I was pushing for hours and my water wouldn't brake, eventually my midwife broke the water and soon after i had a baby girl! She came into the world at 1:34 am march 12. She was 9 pounds 2 ounces.

I actually went to a regular's dr appointment and he cheked me and said to me ur gonna have a baby today i strated laughing the dr broke my water at 6:30pm, and at 10:25pm with 3 pushes my daughter was born 1 month earlier....all natural

I was 15 When I went into Labour with my son... I was due on the 20th feb 2008... But on the 21st at 2am I woke up to little pains but went to the toilet and went bak to bed. Than at 3 I woke up and the pains where a little worse but I Ignored them and went bak to sleep. I woke up at 7 and couldnt go bak to sleep with the pains so I told my mum I was in labour and she rang work to tell them she couldnt come in todayy,,, Than about 11am I rang my partner & told him I was in labour but to stay at work, than about 2pm I had a bath & my plug came out... 4pm come & my partner got home frm work, the contractions were about 4 minutes apart but I didn't want to go to the hospital yet... Than about 6pm I couldn't handle the contractions they were 2 mins apart but I didnt want to go to the hospital yet... Than about 8.30pm I went to the hospital and I was 7cm Dilated I was sitting on a labour ball for about a couple of hrs since I wasnt allowed to go home.. Than another midwife came in about 11pm (my contractions still 2 min apart) and told me I had preaclampsia so she rang the doctor and an ambulance cause I had to go to wagga hospital (an hour away) so They gave me pethadine and put a drip in my hand I got to wagga about 2am on the 22nd feb 08 and I spewed cause of the pethadine,...Wen I got to wagga they had to break my waters... I had gas n air around 6am (I gave some to my dad) and I couldnt eat anything cause I would spew it up so my partner was giving me water... Than at about 10am they gave me an epidural shot and had me on the drip so it wouldnt ware off cause I was exsausted.. Than about 12am I was 10cm Dilated and couldnt feel contractions so the nurses had to tell me when to push, He started cuming out but he had his umbilical cord around his neck so they had to push him bak up and undo it than he wouldnt come out so they had to cut me (I dunno how many stiches) He was born at 2.05pm on the 22nd feb 08 weighing 7 pound 3 ounces & 52 1/2 cm long =) I had a very long labour but would do it all again.

ok so he's 19months old but i still thought i'd write one ....

from what i can remember ..... and in brief.

On Wednesday 28th January 2009 at 39+3 days pregnant with my first child - a boy, I woke up at 4.30am in pain .. tried settling back to sleep but couldn't because it hurt .. went to my mum's room to tell her baby felt like he was on his way .. she said have a bath/ go back to bed you have ages!! decided to go for a bath .. it helped ease the pain a bit .. got out and then the pain came back (i was practically in and out the bath every minute!)
went downstairs and made some toast .. which i could barely eat .. and went on pc to pass the time.
found it really difficult to time contractions .. kept ringing and text OH who was at the garage was his car and was clueless as to whether he'd get back in time so didn't know what to do.
rang hospital several times .. they kept saying have a bath .. take paracetemol (it didn't work!!) you don't sound like your in pain .. i was in tears i was in absolute agony and had bad back labour (i must have been in agony as i dialed wrong number rang XRAY or something and said i think i'm in labour they said oh this is xray )
I eventually found it too painful to walk and started crawling around on the floor .. by the time OH was there .. he rang hospital for about the 5th time and said look shes crawling around on the floor .. they said ok bring her in.
i was in tears in the car .. felt a huge weight between my legs (must have had the urge to push any longer and he'd have been born in car)
got to delivery suite .. checked in .. took me to one room changed their mind took me to another OH had to park car and i was with my mum .. they asked me to go for a wee .. i told my mum i couldn't and that i need the toilet .. she said no don't that'll be you needed to push .. i remember clinging to her in tears ... mw asked me to get changed so i got into an old nighty i brought she said ok i'll just check how far dilated you are .. do you want anything (e.g gas and air) .. checked me .. oh your nearly fully dilated .. i thought well whats the point in pain meds now.
i was pretty much ready to push .. i vaguely remember this part tbh .. but my mum and OH were squeezing my hands and mopping my forehead apparently ..
baby was facing back to back which made labour more painful
i remember looking down and seeing him looking at me just before his whole body slid out.
Oliver was born at 3.58pm .. i'd only been in the hospital about 30min. weighing 7lb 13oz (we all thought he'd be about 5-6lb ish as my bump wasn't overly huge and he didn't look that big .. he was long though so carried his weight well) and 55cm.
he was laid on my chest straight after for skin to skin.
my mum cut the cord as i wanted in my birth plan and his daddy held him while i got stitched up for a 2nd degree tear .. thats the only thing i got pain relief for. and he held him while i had my bath .. i wanted him to be the first to hold him after the skin to skin.i felt extremely proud of myself for being able to do everything naturally .. i didn't think i would be able to go drug free but mother nature thought differently .. and in awe of the beautiful little boy i had created.

i actually wrote a birth plan but didn't have time to get it out so those 2 last things are what i definately remembered.


i feel very happy with the way my labour went .. it progressed quickly and i managed drug free.

I was 17 when I had my son May 26, 2009! I was due May 16 but he didnt want to come out =) I went in May 25 around 4 p.m. to be induced, & also bc I was leaking... started ptiocin and 6ish & was in labor all night =/ i didnt get an epidural until the end (due to an emergency c-section) I was 10cm and ready to push around 11 am but was unable to bc of the way his head position, and how big he was! Nathaniel was born May 26, 2009 12:15 p.m. 9lbs. 3 oz.!!!

I had my daughter in June. I was in labor for 2 days. the first night I went in around 1 a.m. and they kept me until about 11 a.m. They made me walk around the hospital for 2 hours, then sent me home because I was only dialated to a 3 and I was having many contractions. The very next night, I went back in around 3:30 a.m. and I was dialated to a 4, and in active labor! :) So they started giving me pain medicine, got me in a room, and gave me more medicine and pitocin. So I watched cartoons and updated my fb status for a couple hours. Then around 1 p.m my contractions were killing me so they did an epidural!!! Finally, I had my baby girl at 3:41 p.m. I pushed for maybe 5 minutes, if that, and I tore but only got 4 stitches!! She was 8.3 lbs and really pink!! They said she acted like a 42 week old but I had her when I was 39 weeks pregnant!!!

I was 18, I went into the hospital at 11pm to get induced, at 12am they started my induction. Prior to that I had been having contractions for 6 hours. The nurses gave me a cervix softening table at 12am but it didn't work, they gave me another at 4am. Nothing was happening, at 6am the doctor came in a broke my water. I was barley open enough for the hook to go in. I screamed bloody murder, it hurt so bad. At 8am my doctor came back in to check me, I had dialed to 2cm, my son started to drop and my doctor started me on pitocin, it started to work; at 10am I was open to 5cm. I got my epidural at this time, because my contractions were so bad my now husband had to hold me down in bed to keep from ripping my IV out. I got another dose of pitocin and was fully open by 12pm. I started pushing at 3:19, at 3:33pm my son, Jeraid, was born. 7lbs 6oz, 19 inches.

im 19 and had my son when i was 18.... he was due on the 2nd june 2009 and didnt come, was supposed to be induced on the 10th june but came on the 9th june :))) had a terrible pregnancy and i went into labour at 28 weeks but thankfully the doctors managed to stop my labour :) i started bleeding and it was dangerous and life threatning for me and my unborn son so i was prepped up ready to go to townsville to have him but the bleeding slowed and stopped :) all this happened on my hubbies birthday ! the docs thought he could have lost us !! was scary as hell ! i was let out of hospital and had to stop work as a fulltime childcare worker and was on bedrest, after 2 weeks couldnt stand it and went back to work part time til 1 week before i had my son..... my waters broke at 2.15am 9th june... went to the hospital and the widwife tried to tell me my waters hadnt broken bcoz i wasnt wearing a pad and i only had a towel inbetween there, i put a pad on to prove this cow wrong :)) and thats when they realised he had pooed becoz he was stressed, i went for a 3 hour shower... was lovely LOL then when i got out the midwife had to swap shifts so another midwife came in and she bombarded me with monitors to speed up the labour, one went on my sons head becoz they kept losing his heart beat :(( at around 8am i had an epidural bcoz the doctors thought i would have needed a c section thinking he was a very big baby, was only 3cm dilated, they pumped the drugs into me to speed up my labour coz at 11am i was stil only 3cm dliated meanwhile the male doctor told me i might have bub by 5pm... and im thinking far out !! then 20 mins later i told the midwife i need to push and she was very suprised ! she wasnt sure if i was joking or not only to see i wasnt joking and this boy was comming out !!!! the epidural had failed to work and i felt everything ! i pushed for half an hour and watched it all in a mirror :) and at 12.35pm my beautiful baby boy was born perfect !!! weighing 8 pd 1 oz and the next day we took him home :) i had no surtures or anything and didnt tear, the doctors were impressed :) p.s i stil remember that pain... owwwie in a way im glad the epidural didnt work bcoz the feeling was painful but unreal !!! was wonderful ! i had a smooth labour and laughed the whole way through, the doctors were dumfounded :))) im blessed to have had a good labour

The birth of my lil princess seemed quite fast lol.I am 22 and gave birth to my daughter on Jan 11th this year. At midday I started feeling like I had little stomach cramps, I didn't take much notice until about an hour later when they were becoming regular and the pains were lasting longer. My husband and I went into hospital around 2p.m. I was 5cm dilated and my water hadn't broke yet. My lovely midwife and darling husband were very motivating and made my labour experience tolerable and kept me strong. My midwife and I have a very close and trusting relationship. We both understood that I did not want a long labour and that I preferred to get it over and done with lol...that meant I couldn't have epidural and I was advised to do a bit of walking and sitting on the exercise ball to bring on the labour. My midwife knew what I had wanted and just encouraged me all the way. Around 3.30pm my midwife asked me if I had wanted her to break my waters...Knowing that it would bring on labour quicker I said yes. After that it just seemed as though the pains were becoming faster, longer and harder. I knew as the pain became excruciating...it only meant I was closer to the birth and closer to holding my lil princess. I remember the pain being so painful that I couldn't lie in bed, I had to get up and walk around. I then felt the urge to push...I rushed...well woddled to the bed and after 3 pushes my darling princess was born. She was born at 5.30pm. I also didn't have to have any stitches. I was so tired, relieved it was over and extremely happy, I hadn't really noticed that my midwife and 3 other nurses were rushing around me. I had a long tube inserted in me because I had lost too much blood. I was so tired and absorbed with the wonderful moment my husband & I were having with our daughter that I did not feel any pain but just a bit of discomfort. My daughter was 9Ibs and 1 day overdue. I'm not very fond of hospitals so the very next morning I was discharged home. I am so greatful for my wonderful midwife, she was very helpful and helped make our pregnancy an awesome experience!

I have kind of a crazy story. A few hours into labor my boyfriend drove me to the hospital 1/2 hour away.. a cop followed us the last 5 miles. Once I got there I was 3cm. The nurses called my doctor to come in. He refused to come in saying he was closer to another hospital and I had to come there. I had to drive another 1/2 hour to this hospital. (I walked about a block to my car and a block back) By the time I got to the other hospital I was 7 cm. I hate my doctor for that and now I have a new doc!

Another different thing.. after I had my daughter we stayed at the hospital for less than 24 hours. In this time we have over 30 visitors! I think the nurses purposely kicked us out cus they were sick of us having visitors! Even though it was exhausting it was great knowing we had so much support, especially being young parents.

I am 19, my daughter is 5 wks :) & I was due August 3rd. August 2nd, I went for a regular checkup at the gyno, she checked my cervix, I was 1cm dialated. So she done a cervical sweep on me, saying it would help speed things up (@ 11:00 in the morning), when I got home, around 3:00, I started having regular pains, 20 minutes apart. Then, they went down to 10 minutes, then to 9 minutes! I went to the hospital, they said I was having contractions, but some were irregular, so I could go home if I chose. I decided to stay, just in case. They check me at 11:00pm that night, and I was 3cm dialated! They moved to a room to try and sleep, gave me a shot of nubain. I didn't sleep AT ALL, the pains were soo strong! When she came back around 3am, I was 7cm dialated & they gave me another shot of nubain!! It was SO fast! They moved me to the delivery room, and I begged the nurse for the epidural but she said I was too fast!! At 4:30, I started to push & 4:35 I had her, all natural birth! The nurses delivered her, so I ripped because the doctor wasn't there to cut me. I ended up with 8-10 stitches. But I'm still thanking the gyno that done the cervical sweep on me! She definintly speeded things up for me! :)

I was 17 as well with my first. 2 days before she was due I had my cervix scraped and within 10 mins i was in labour.I went into the hospital about 6 hrs later and i was in labour for 19 hrs in total. She was only 7lbs 2oz but i tore aswell. Then with my second I was 18 and I went into early labour with him at 36 weeks. At 38 weeks I got my cervix scraped in the hospial & the nxt day at my doc app she was worried my fluid was too low so i was being sent to an ultrasound the nxt day. That very night i went into labour and that lasted 9 hrs. He was 6 lbs 11 oz and i tore with him as well...i also hemoraged with him. With my first I pushed for 30 mins and with my second i only pushed 3 times...the nurse delivered him as the doctor was running down the hall to our room trying to make it in time.Also...my epidural didnt work for my first so it was like natural and with my second i had him only 5 mins after they gave it to me so it didnt even have time to work.

I was induced as well. I got to the hospital at 6am. they gave be a cervadil (sp?) at 730am and cytotech (sp?) at 1130am then nothing until about 7 or 730pm when my dr came to see me, She broke my water and they started the pitocin (after I had been in the hospital for over 12 hours). I got an epidural around 930pm and labored alllllllll night. I wasnt making any progress, I was stuck at 4cm. Then, in an hour and a half I went from 4cm to 9cm. At 10cm they turned off my epidural and then we waited for the baby to come down more. I pushed for maybe 10 or 15 minutes. my daughters head was so coned I had a small cut and only a few stitches. so I was in labor almost 30 hours. I was 19, and this was my first baby. The labor was traumatic but the delivery was a breeze. =]

went into the hospital october 17, 08..woke up that morning and seen mucus plug n my panties..went to the emergency room for pregnant people and they took my blood pressure and check baby heart beat..everything was fine..then they wheeled me into the labor and delivery unit..was 41 weeks..my daughter was 8 pounds 0 ounces 20.5 inches long..went into the hospital on a friday october 17 came out on a tuesday october 21..when i got to the hospital i was only 2 cm dialated..then progressed to 4cm hours later..my water never broke..then progress to 7 hours later and finally they decided i wasnt progressing enough..was in labor for 26 hours.the epidural didnt work...they realized that the baby was pushing down based on the ultrasound they did but the birth canal was too narrow for her to pass through..had a c-section..my daughter was a healthy baby girl she was born on oct 18 2008 t 12:19pm ..never had a complication through out my whole pregnancy..would do it all over again hoping it would be the same way..happy that i did have a c-section..

i was due 16th october, waters broke midday on the 16th, went to hospital bout 2,3ish did really well breathing and no drugs. was 4cm by 5pm checked me again at 9pm and was still 4cm dilated :( had pethadine went for another couple of hours, finally gave me a epidural about 2am.... they told me id have a 7lb baby before midnight, ming you.... pushed for an hour and a half, he got stuck, tried the vaccum but the couldnt get it on his head, gave me an episiotomy and he was born with forceps at 3.56am on the 17th october.... he turns two soon and i still have nightmares

Heres my story..
I was sleeping and woke up to feeling like i had to pee but i was "i'm to tired i'll get up in a few mins" and then it felt like i was peeing my pants so i got up and ran to the bathroom,and fluid just kept coming out and it was pink but i thought nothing of it so i just went right back to sleep,well tired to. but it felt like fluid was still coming out so i got up and then that when i got concerned this was at 3:30 am and i told my mom i think my water broke and i called the hospital and they told me to come in. I don't drive and neither does my mom so i had to call my grandma.She got to my house at about 4am and on the way to the hospital my contraction where already 3 mins apart. When i got to the hospital they checked to see if my water broke and they lady was like "OH YEAH thats you water" so i got in a room and the checked to see if i was dilated and i was already at 5. I was having back labor so i wanted an epidrual and that ended up giving me a super bad headache,making me feel light,and made me super pale. They had to give me oxygen to help with the headaches. The checked me again around 5:30 am i was dilated to a 7. From the min i thought i was in labor i was trying to get a hold of my sons father but couldn't until about 6 am. He finally got there around 6:30am and when he got there i was having major pressure ad around 7 am i was at a 9. around 7:30am it was time to push,i pushed for about 10 mins. had my son at 7:41 am on may 1st 2010 and he weighed 7lb and 7 ozs and 20 inchs.

Everyone was so surprised because i am super tiny,people even thought i was gonna need a c section but i knew i wasn't gonna need one,before i got pregnant i was only 90 lbs and 4"11
My son was super healthy not one thing wrong with him expect his feet are bent in because of how he was in my stomach. and i fall asleep around 1 that night so i did it all on like 2 hours of sleep

I started having contractions at 11pm on the 26th April, 2010. Then faded after a hour. The next day at 4pm stared having contractions again, then went to hosp at 8pm, and they felt my cervic, was only softened then 2hrs later (10pm) was 2 cm so they sent me home :( then went back in at 1/2am and was fully dialated and in full labour :) just had gas and air then a few hours later my contractions where slowing down, so had a drip then at 7:33am i had my beautifull princess Ella-Rose weighing 8lb 3oz on te 28th April. i had grazes, tears and internal stitches, had th have an epidural for the internal ones. was in hosp 3 days. Oh and i was 16 at the time :) and she came on her due date :p x

I tore in three places too, and I also got stitched a lot. Lucky for you, you had the epidural! I did it, but it made me really sick and I had a bad reaction to it, so they stop the midcation... But anyways, I went into the hospital at 9 in the morning after being in labor since 11 pm the previous night...that's when I couldn't take it anymore! I was in the hospital a long time before I started pushing at 3 in the afternoon..I pushed until 6:30 and nothing. Nothing! LOL...So they tried to use the vaccuum, and it popped of my sons' head twice, and I gave up, tried to get the C-Section but they wouldn't let me :( But after a few more pushes, the doctor just like pulled him in lol. Never again! And on top of almost killing me, he won't stop screaming now!!!!

I went in at about half past 2 on the 14th of July to be induced, had the hormone thing put in, but had it taken out and had my water's broke at 12am because she got distressed. Contraction's started straight away, had a few puff's of gas and air then decided i didnt like it, had pethadene (I cant spell it) which made me tired! Pushed for about 20 mins - half an hour and had her at 12:17pm on the 15th of July :) 12 hour's from when contraction's started! I tore in two place's :|
