when i was 17 weeks pregnant is when my now husband had left for basic. he did miss the rest of the pregnancy except for the 10 days after he was done with basic. it was hard and really sucked but if you have good people to talk to and write letters to him its a little bit easier.

Hi, I am a Navy fiancee and Im pregnant with my first. My man is leaving next thursday for basic training and from there he is moving across the country to go to school. I am 18 weeks and it looks like he will be missing the rest of the pregnancy. I dont really have any mommy friends eithier :)

Hey! I just read your post, and I know what you mean by finding friends that are mature. Im only 19 so it's hard to find a good set of friends that you can trust and who are supportive of the pregnancy. Im expecting right now and it seems that I have a lot of support by my friends but most of them don't have children, so it's hard to relate.

I too would love to find friends with children and can relate to my maturity level. I hate feeling like Im imposing on my "friends" lives because I am in a relationship and looking to get married and also having a baby! If and when you would like to talk Im here!

hi, i know how you feel, since i graduated and had my son i only have two friends left(but they dont have kids) i totally understand being lonely i am a stay at home mom and i have had older friends whose husbands are military men and i will talk to you anytime you need it i totally understand where your coming from., ill request to add you to my circle of moms and you can approve or deny me.
