my son is now 2yrs old but when he was an infant, he had that problem. I tried prune juice but he would drink his milk with the prune juice in it, so my doctor told me to try karo syrup. Once my son turned 1yr old, we found that he was lactose intolerant and couldnt drink milk unless lactose free. ALWAYS ASK YOUR DOCTOR FIRST JUST TO ENSURE YOUR BABY'S SAFETY AND WELL BEING! Good Luck

You can also try messaging him by bicycling his legs and rubbing his tummy! this helped her also before we went to the doc - it also helps get rid of some gas!

Half a children's suppository works every time. Doesn't matter how old they are either. Give it to him and take his diaper off and strip him down and put him on a towel and let him do his magic. Just make sure he's warm and clam. Turn the tv down or off to make him relax more so he doesn't strain to hard. If you see a little blood this time don't worry, it's just from being constipated. If you keep seeing it take him to the doctor. It's more then likely a problem in his GI tract. My daughter has the same thing but they can't figure out where her's is coming from or why.

You can give your baby juice that young but because juice is acidic you HAVE to water it down. My son had an issue switching from breast milk to formula and I gave him a 4 oz bottle, 2oz apple juice and 2oz water. He pooped and didn't get constipated any more. My doctor also said use apple juice not prune because prune juice is WAY worse for them. Oh and you can use either diluted apple juice or you can buy it pre-diluted in the baby section in little bottles.

My son's dr told me to us dark karo corn syrup. You put 1 teaspoon in 4oz 2 bottles a day and it will help them go. Also warm the bottle up. It worked for my son

It is important not to insert anything into an infants rectum. You can tear or damage delicate tissue in a baby. Thermometers oar no longer recommended. I am a Peds nurse and would never insert anything without a MDs order.

I JUST went to the doctor for my baby about this 2days ago. He told me to make some camomille tea or mint tea and give her an ounce each time. She had not gone for 3 days and within an hour of drinking it she finally went! We almost had a party for her lol. She just turned 7weeks today! But I wouldnt worry too much unless it seems like he is in pain b/c its normal for some babies to even go 7-9 days without poopin! but my daughter was screaming her head off so to the docs we went! but best advice ive ever gotten - camomille tea to make the poopy come! - he said you can even add a little sugar if they wont drink it. my daughter really likes the egyptian camomille apple flavored! we dont even use sugar!

i think the prune juice might be making it worse, your not suppose to give babies anything but formula or breast milk until 4-6 months if anything ask your doctor it could be an intestinal problem

I've heard that some babies dont go everyday! It could just be how he goes for now.. my daughter went through a phase that she would onlyl go every couple days! you could try a little apple sauce (baby kind not regular) , ive heard that helps alot!

My Daughter is bottlefed and we were told that if she hasn't gone for more than 3 days to intervene. A little bit of cooled boiled water works well, Amy normally produces a massive poop within the hour :S

Dont do prune juice. Go buy prunes and put one prune in 16oz of water. Let it sit in it overnight. Next time you feed him mix the water with formula. It should help, it helpd my daughter a ton.

if he is breastfed it is common for babies not to go for about a week. if he is bottle fed just try a bit of cool boiled water. it does the trick perfectly for my daughter x
