I started my daughter on a straw at 6 months because of doctors orders and I thought it would be a hastle, but after two weeks of pursuing she took it. It is the same sucking motion and I think it was easier to do. She doesn't know how to drink out of a sippy cup, but she is a champ at the straw.
There are bottles at Wal-mart that are 8 oz. and have a straw. They are like mini water bottles. You can squeeze them to squirt small amounts of milk in her mouth so she knows what it is.

I just weened my son off the bottle, he is 25 months, i threw the bottle away and chopped the nipples so that no matter how bad it got i wouldnt give in, i got him a hard spout sippy a soft one and such he took to the hard one, get a sippy that has the spout twords the end and its small so they can lay down with it, also put something nasty in the bottle, like i took pickle juice and stuck in it and put the milk in the sippy, if they think bad taste with bottle they wont want it, hope this works for you

I'm weening my daughter off the bottle right now. She only gets one at night before bedtime, and here in a few days, that'll stop. I found what works best for my daughter to drink milk in a sippy is to warm the milk up.

You could also try gradually watering down the milk you give her starting with like 1oz so that it might not be as tastey as before and begin slowly introducing a sippy cup at the same time. Start with like once or twice a day...you can try to hand it to her or put it on the table and tell her that it's he new big girl cup, or set it next to her at the dinner table....just things like that. It might take some time for her to accept the change but the water in the bottle should help.
