I have an 11 month old son his name is Jay... i know this is going to sound strange but i dont know anyone my own age that i can talk to about about what its like to have children young... i feel quite isolated sometimes and it gets me down i suffered with ppd after i had my son and i lost contact with a lot of my freinds

but even the ones i still talk to can be quite distant so if anyone else feels like this you can add me on this or on fb Siobhan Ni Colla

I am 20 and my son is almost 8 months. I luckily got pregnant 2 weeks after I graduated high school, or I would have been kicked out. I am in the same boat, all my friends ditched me and are at college. I go to commuter college, but it is hard to find friends that relate. Add me on facebook! Ellie Hutchins

I'm 19 and have a 1 year old and a 6 month old. I know how you feel about feeling isolated. Alot of my friends dont have kids and most of them stopped talking to me because i had kids. Hang in there. You'll find friends that will know what your going through!

Hey I'm Kayla, Im 18 and have a nine month old daughter! I know what your going through, I lost all my friends and am now trying to finish high school with a bunch of kids that dont understand my situation. I found going to drop in community "baby and mom" type things help me find new friends. I also take part in a young parents program where I meet with teen moms twice a week in my city. Look in your community for these things, there always out there! If you want to add me on fb and talk or ask anything, fly at'er! Kayla Chaffee.. Good luck!

I definitely know the feeling. I was 17 when I had my daughter. She is now seven and I just recently moved to Arkansas and are finally meeting people close to my own age with children. It will get better. You can also add me if you want.

Hello, I am 20 now but had my daughter when i was 17. Loosing friends and feeling lonely is normal. People in our age range still want to go out and party and be ttens/young adults and dont understnad that we cant just get up and go whenever we want. If you plan to go to college it is way differnt. people understnad better cuz they either have children also or get busy with school and work. It gets better as time goes on. It is important to take time for yourself. Have a family member watch you baby while you go out even if its just for a few hours. Youll feel more "normal" and humble.
Best of luck!

Hey im kayly. im 19 almost 20. i had my son when i was 18, during my senior year and i can definately relate to what your feeling. I was the head cheerleader of my squad and as soon as i found out i was pregnant, all my friends just kind of dropped off one by one. Its really hard not having anyone to talk to. Now all my friends are getting pregnant and they still dont talk to me. they dont ask me how anything during my pregnancy went compared to theirs or anything. Luckily i have my husband to talk to......but of course he dont quite understand........add me to your circle and we can talk!

I know how you feel :D I'm 20 and my daughter is turning one on Wednesday...I'll be 21 in January and I'm pregnant with number 2 due in late May. A lot of my friends hit the ditch too. It's amazing how having kids shows who your true friends are :/

Hi Siobhan, I had my son when I was 17 and i found it hard finding people who would help me out and hang aroung me an well as my son. My best friend had two young children, 1 is 6 months younger then mine. I'm always needing people to talk to, whether its about children or shoes or what ever. I know being a young mum is hard but just surround yourself with postive people. Take care. xox

I lost a lot of my friends while I was pregnant and even more after my daughter was born. It's just hard to relate to people my age that don't have children because they're a chapter behind. I relate better to my friends' parents ... You definitely aren't alone, I added you on FB. If you need anyone to talk to, or even just to vent, don't hesitate. I'm here for you :)
