Im was a teen mom at 14 and Im 27 now If those were really true friends the would still be there for you but If you need a friend then Its really nice to meet you and I'll be your friend!

Hi Mercedes, I am going through a similar situation. I had my first child at 15 and most of my friends didn't understand why I couldn't hang out all the time or do most of the things they were doing. Fortunately, a few of my friends stayed with me (most of them had younger siblings they had to help take care of.) But, I have recently moved and I only know a few people (they are family) if you would like to talk you can message me.

i kknow how that is. loosing frieds is just part of how we mature during having a baby. they dont understand why you wont party with them or do things the same way they do. im 19 and have a 1 year old. most of my friends now are the friends that have babies themselves.

Im in the same boat as you Mercedes!! I lost all my friends because they didnt like that I was being a single mother at 19.My daughter will be 4months tomorrow

I'm sorry you went through that. I was 15 when I had my daughter. I was concerned that my friends would do the same and I talked to my mom about it. She told me that if they were that shallow, they weren't my friends to begin with. I could see my mom's point and those that didn't talk to me anymore I realized weren't worth my time. Fortunately, most of my friends stayed by my side and still talk with me today. =) This is a great place to make friends, though. Especially in the groups where you can find people in common situations.
