sleepless nights?

My daughter Grace is 4 months old.
She sleeps in her own room next to mine and my partners room in her cott but how many times should a 4 month old wake? She goes to bed at 8:30 - 9 everynight, wakes at 12:30 - 1, then again at 4:30, and then wakes at 7 ready to play. She wakes has her milk and we rock her back to bed which doesnt take long. But should she be sleeping threw the night?

At this age I introduced a routine for my daughter, I would put her to bed for 7 after a bath and bottle, I would then wake her up at 10 for another feed before I went to bed, from then till 7 she didnt have another feed, the first 2 nights where the hardest as she expected her bottle. But once the cycle had been broken she was fine and went through and found she had more around tea-time to fill herself up.

That's actually not too bad for a four month old. I have a friend that has a 4 month old that wakes every two hours to nurse. Some babies sleep through the night at 4 months and some don't. Every baby is different and sleep patterns change a lot. Welcome to motherhood! :)

its normal for a baby that age to be waking 2 times a night. you got lucky. my son at 4 months was still waking me every 3 hrs. he just recently started sleeping through the night. even now he still wakes up every now and then, but that's form teething. just do what you can to get as much sleep as possible, nap when she naps, and go to sleep when she does.

Hi Amanda, 90% of babies formula or breastfed wake throughout the night. My son is 7months and wakes at least 3 times usually at night for a little feed or just to make sure im still here. Babies dont understand if mum will give me a drink at 3pm why not at 3am! Some just like to make sure mum is stil close. I dont know why people are obsessed if bubs sleep through the night people dont ask if they are happy but always a common question are they sleepin through! i my self wake during the night for a drink or something. When Grace is ready she will sleep through, but until then dont worry about as long as she is happy and healthy and you get some rest. i usually go back to sleep with Ryder in the morning for his first nap and that seems to really help : ) Ryder sleeps in my room in his cot half the night and co sleeps for half, i breastfeed so this works great for us. good luck Amanda your doing great!

y dont u try givin her a dummy instead of milk at nite nd see if she settles better dat way my son did nd now he dont wake at all throu the nite, but all babys are different

Hello Amanda some babies sleep through the night and some dont . My son was up every 15 minutes, but my daughter slept through the night from day 1. I know how you feel, like a walking zombie. They have their own clocks,it does get better i promise you. You will sleep again just hang in there. Good luck
