I am working on my half sleeve and its all going to be portraits of my family. I just finished my parents portrait and next is my daughters and eventually my sons and lastly my grandmother.

I got my first tattoo when I was 19 and it's for my daughter. It's Snoopy, cuddling with a blanket. Her name is spelled on blocks - first name on his right side and middle name on the left - and he's sitting on blocks spelling out her birthdate. I want to get one for my son, too. I want to get baby Taz but I still have to put the finishing touches on it. I'm hoping to finish it soon so I can get tatted again. (I'm addicted!)

i have a tattoo on my right sholderblade for my son. it is a cross and it has his name and birthdate on it. its the only tattoo i have and i love it. i wanted a tattoo for so long but had no idea of what to get until i had him, he was the inspiration :) and now i want another tattoo and yet again have no idea of what to get. i guess it'll just have to wait cuz im not wanting another kid any time soon!

I still have 11 months till I'm old enough to get a tattoo, but I am getting "Amali Maree" written on the inside of my left forearm and the "i" is going to be dotted with a diamonte puncture, and her birthdate written underneath "Maree".

I want to get one with both the boys names and birthdays. I also plan on designing my own. Right now I'm thinking of getting two dolphins (my favourite animal) jumping but facing each other so that they form a heart. The boys names would either be written inside each of the dolphins or as swirls of water around their tails. I don't plan on having any more so I wouldn't have to worry about adding to them. But when their father and I eventually get married I want to get our wedding date put in the middle of the heart.

I have one so far for my son, and will be getting one shortly for my daughter. I like using symbolic tattoos personally, as opposed to names. I think it allows me to express something about them that way. I think its a really beautiful way to always have your kids with you :)

I got 14 Stars going up my right side on my ribs and at the bottom is a very large star and I am planning to put my sons name in it with the day he is born. I also plan to get the other side done the same with the stars and when he has a sibling I will put their name in the bottom star. My sons name is condsidered Celtic so I plan to get a celtic icon on my left ankle for him. Its my first baby and I want to have memories besides the ones I can capture on camera. I have a total of 30 tattoos on my body and cant wait to get more. Having names put onto your body is one of the best memories you can have of someone. I got my moms name on me also in a high heel hot pink heel.

my daughters name is lilly so i had a picture of a water lily done on my inside wrist...also on the other arm i got my partner to wright our daughters name on me... its a bit scruffy because it was his 1st go at doing a tattoo but its a lovley memory and when my daughter gets big i can tell her daddy did it :) (it wasnt a dodgy home job...i asked the man in the tattoo studio if my partner could have a go at it)

i have one for my son already, on my foot. its his name in chinese. (i had a friend from china do it for me, so i didnt get anything freaky lol) its on the top of my foot.

I got a picture of The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein with the little boy behind the tree and through the tree it says '...and she loved a little boy' in ribbons *thats the second line in the book :) Its a really great story and I feel that putting a name and date is used more in memory than for new life.

i have both my sons names and date of birth tattooed on me, my first is tattooed on my back and my new babys is tattooed on my foot with stars decorated around it... the boys father has the boys hand prints and their names and date of births tattooed on his arms.....



the foot one hurt the most out of all of my tattoos as it hasnt got much fat under the skin and mostly bone... i have 4 tattoos in total, 3 on my back and one on my foot.



if your concerned over pain, try the numbing cream they use in hospitals, u might be able to pick it up from a chemist..

I have a tattoo that I had started right before I found out I was Prego. So I'm gonna add my sons hand print to that when I finish it with his name and birthdate!! I'm so excited even though the piece I had started was a back piece and it hurts like B...But it'll be worth it in the end. =)
