I just found this site today so I know my response is too late... you baby is here :) Congratulations. Hope you found one. My name is Jaynell and not always common... only know one other person with the names spelled the same way. I named my 2 daughters.. Kyla Shawrie and Maygen Rene... sometimes call this by nicknames Ky (Ki) or Mayggie. With Kyla wasn't sure if we were having a boy or girl.. if we would have had a boy I would have named my child Kyle. Unfortunately many tend to pronouce it as Kayla. Maygen... I didn't want Meghan or Megan or other spellings... it reminded me of spice so I made sure with the Y in the middle it would not be mistaken and read correctly (May as in month of may and Gen as in again). Belive it or not out of the blue, my husband came up with the name Shawrie... and rarity. My belief is each child is so different in personality and deserve and unusual name or a rare name that speaks to you and your spouse (if not single parent). We don't have to have normal names like everyone else... what fun is it to be the normal type? There are so many Jill or Betty... is seems to common and I don't always fit in that "common quo".

Hi, my name is very uncommon. I'm 25 and have only met one person with my name, it was a 65 yr. old Male artist LOL! Gwynne is pronounced Gwin, and its unisex (obviously). I love the names Lydia, Evelyn, Blanche, Briar-rose (yes, like the disney princess) and Zhenia pronounced Jenia.
good luck!
Gwynne, Gabriels'mother.

hi im 18 with an 11 month old and am 32 weeks pregnant(will be 19 when i go pop). they will be 12 months 20days apart. both girls. i like fairly normal names myself. my 1st is called lilly mae and my second will be called layla christy.

my name is uncommon. ive never met anyone with my name....ever! its spelt quechelle but you can pronounce it two ways cushell or keyshell. i think because my name is so unusual i get fed up of people asking me questions about so i wanted to give my kids names that were just nice and simple.

i love my sisters little girls name, Felicity. thats not a common name and sounds so pretty. i think the name tulip, like the flower is a nice name aswell. happy name hunting :)

look in the Bible. There are some unique women's names in there. Try Ezra, Sarai, Rebekah.... If you get lost trying to find them, there is also a book title famous women of the Bible that also tells what they were famous for. You want your daughter to have a "good" name. I know you will choose well.

what about azlyie (pronounded like saying plural a's then lee). Or Kambry. I knew a girl that named her daughter azlyie and i liked it and my daughter's middle name is Kambry and I've never heard someone with either of those names. so if you want something uncommon those may work.

My sister's name is Jolissa. This name can also be spelled Julissa, without the two esses as well. I find that a girls name is a lot more feminem when ending in an "A". Hope you find the right name!

My sister's name is Chalaya (pronounced: Shuh-lie-uh) and I have never heard of anybody else having that name. People think it's a nice name and always ask how our parents came up with it. I like the names Rowan and Maylahnee (pronounced: May-lawn-E) and Cadence.

My daughters name is Aaliyah, which is actually how the singer spelled it,and ive only known one person who gave their child the name.My name is Aleashia which is pronounced like Alesha or Alicia but it is just spelled differently than anyone ive met.I like Annabelle and Abigail also Gabriella because you can shorten it easily Annie Abby or Gabby lol.I call my daughter liyah whcih is just like Leah only spelled different. You should first go over any names that are important to you for middle names so they can mesh well.I knew i wanted my daughter middle name to be Marie after my mom so i just picked a first name that sounded really good.Aaliyah Marie.
