Hey, I wanted to do a little poll to see something. I have a support group for young mommies in my area and I thought it'd be really cool to share these numbers! Could you tell me what age you were, what age the father was, (for each child you have), if the father stayed, and the state you live in? Also, if you stayed in school/ last grade completed/ work or SAHM? If you wanna share your story too that'd be great! If you dont wamt to share allt hat info just your age will even do! Thnx girls.
-Paige, pregnant at 17 mommy to one at 18. The father was 21 and has never seen her. I graduated high school and am a sophmore in college! I work part time and live with my parents in MD. cant wait tohear your story!

16 when I got pregnant, daddy was 18 ,..17 when we had our first son, finished highschool with honors and married my highschool sweetheart at 18. He is in navy so we moved to fl right after we got married, had our second son at the ages of 19 & 21 then our third son at 21 & 23. Happily married and after his sea duty tour is up we plan on trying one more time for a little girl! We have been together since I was 14 & he was 16.

I know this is an OLD post but will answer anyways :D I was 18 when I fell pregnant and had my baby, the father was 21, he did stay and 2 years on is still around we live in Aus QLD. I stayed home for about 10mths but had to return to work after he had issues with his work. I finished high school (was finishing when I met him) although had to step out of university before it started and have only now (at 21) reapplied but now I know what I actually want to do.

I was 16 when my daughter was born, (unplanned) so was her father. We broke up when she was 13 months and he stopped seeing her when she was 18 months. She's now 3 and a half and I'm now 20 we're doing fine and she is my entire world :)

I was 16 with my first, he was 19 he was very abusive so I kicked him to the curb so to say lol. I had my 2nd at 17 with what is now my husband who was 25 at the time. I had my 3rd at 19 my husband was then 27. I just had my fourth at 22 my husband just turned 40. I am a sham. I found it much easier to just stay at home with the kids and enjoyed it much more. I did not finish high school how ever I did get my ged before leaving the school. I dropped out not because I had my own but because I had to help my mom care for my cousins to had to move in on a emergency basis.

I was 16 when i got pregnant and 17 when i had him, the father was 23 he's now 24 were married and live together in a 2 bdrm town house were very happy together and our son has brought us nothing but joy. When i found out i was pregnant with my now one week old son i was about 3 months along; my (now) husband and i were split up at the time. I finally mustered the courage to tell him and over time we worked things out and have developed a better relationship then we ever had before everything is pretty great. I got my G.E.D and am working on online classes...

I live in Texas, when our first daughter was born I was 31 and my husband was 26. When our second daughter was born, I was 36 and my husband was 31, we are still together and have been married 11 years. My huband and I both went to college. We are a family of 4. We do not plan on having anymore children. Even though we wish we could but who can afford anymore than two in this economy. Take care and happy parenting, children are cute and easy to handle until they turn into teens : )

I have a new guy who helps me tremendously with my daughter and he loves her to death. I'm currently working, and plan to get my GED and go to college. My daughters dad has not seen her in almost a year and does not care to. His loss! I don't believe in any way, shape or form that she was a mistake. I don't know where I'd be without her. I love her so much :)

My name is Sarah I got pregnant with my first son 3 months after I graduated high school and I was 18 and 19 when I had him. His father was 21, we got married 10 weeks after our son was born and got divorced a year and a half later. He was verbally and emotionally abusive towards me. He's very involved in our sons life but he and I do not get along at all. I had my second child at 23 a year after I married my second husband, he was 22 but he turned 23 a couple months later. We got pregnant with our youngest, our daughter, 4 months after I had my second son and I was 24 when I had her. My husband also has a daughter from a previous relationship who is a year younger than my oldest. My husband and I have been together for 7 1/2 years now, married for 6 1/2 and my oldest son is 9, youngest son is 5, youngest daughter is 4, and my step-daugther is 8 (Nov. 1st.). My husband pays his child support for his daughter but we can't afford to take his ex back to court and she hasn't let him see his daughter since we got pregnant with our first child, she is very jealous. We send his daughter gifts all the time, he calls her all the time, she has even asked to talk to me and her little brother, little sister, and step-brother. We have tried to set up times to see her and everytime we do the ex pulls out at the last minute claiming someone got hurt, she's sick, she has something going on with her family, etc. There is always an excuse. My husband pays a lot in child support and neither of us mind it because he should support his child, he and I both know that and we both know that someday his daughter will want to know him and her brother and sister. I know this because my parents were divorced and my sister and I were separated for a little while and my dad took us from my mom at 10 and I didn't see her again until I was 18 and out of the house. It'll happen. We would love to take her back to court but right now we don't have the money and when we do, our main concern is having a judge make her come and live with us would be very traumatic to her. We don't want to screw her up any more than her mother already has. We have tape recordings, every pay stub showing the withdrawl of the child support every month, etc. and we can show her all of this when she decides to come around. For now my hubby is happy just to be able to talk to her and with the fact that she wants to talk to him. He loves her very much and because his ex took her away at 4 weeks old and played games with him and their daughter he has been a GREAT father to our children because that opportunity was stolen from him before. He is the best father that anyone could ever ask for, he is so hands on and involved and our kids cuddle with him all the time, play with him, he gets home from work and the first thing he does is play with them. I couldn't have asked for a better husband or father for my children. I am very lucky this time around. :) Anyway, I am in WI, I am a SAHM and I homeschool my 2 youngest children. I started my associate's when my oldest son was a year and a half and I finished my bachelor's right before I gave birth to my youngest daughter, on my birthday actually while my hubby was over-seas for the Air Force and I was taking care of an infant and a 4 year old by myself. I then took 3 years off so I could focus on my babies and in September of 2010 I started my master's in education, I also found out that I had an abnormality in my spinal cord that month and I ended up having to have spinal cord surgery in November, the whole time I was recovering and going through 6 different hospital stays, I continued my schooling, and continued taking care of things at home and homeschooling. I finished my master's on July 11, 2011, it was an accelerated program and I graduated with a 3.84 GPA, the only reason it wasn't a 4.0 is because the class that I took right after my surgery, when I was recovering, I got a B in, dang it. :) I am taking a year off and then I will be starting my doctorate in September of 2012. I am very excited to almost be done. I have always wanted to get my doctorate but when I got pregnant with my first son I thought that it would never happen. I have been through so much and yet I have come so far. My nurses and doctors could not believe that after having major surgery I was doing homework and doing an online class the next day. I told them, I'm paying for it, class doesn't stop because I had surgery, I am going to continue to work as hard as I can and I did. The only thing that kept me from getting the A in the class after my surgery is the meds, they really messed with my head right after my surgery, that combined with the natural fatigue of the body after a major surgery are the things that kept me from getting an A. I live with my husband and my kids, we will be moving in 2 years because of the Air Force and we are hoping to go back to NE. My hubby has 11 years left before he can retire at the 20 year mark but he is going to stay in as long as he can. He is hoping for at least 28 years. While he is in the AF I will teach online and I will stay home with my kids and homeschool them, at least as long as they want to be homeschooled, and if they decide to go to high school or junior high I will stay home anyway so that I can be here when they get home, be here if they need me for appointments, be here if they need me for anything, this is what we have discussed will be best for our family. :) I am 28 years old now and if you have any questions for me or want to be friends just let me know. :)
