I feel like most young moms care a lot about finding the perfect name for our babies!

So what did you choose?

First and middle!

Did you let dad help pick? Or was it all up to you?

Have you ever wished you had chosen a different name for them?

Tristan Marc
Juliette "Juls" Laura
Evelyne "Evie" Tibita
Leo Charles
Sophie "Soph" Claire
Each of our names our bilingual, since we speak both French and English at home. My husband was very much involved in the name picking. We wanted classic, older names. We looked in our family trees and found the names Evelyne and Leo. The names Tristan, Juliette and Sophie were simply names we both adored and found in books! We never regretted any names we chose, probably because we put so much thought into them. They sound great with the last name and we made sure they were not likely to be teased! Middle names were also a big decision! Marc was after my father, Laura after a mix of my sister (Laurianne) and my husband's (Rachel), Tibita was my daughter Evelyne's birthname in Uganda (she was adopted at 6 months old), Charles was after my father-in-law and Claire after a good friend of mine who passed away just a few weeks before I gave birth. I also valued the meanings of the names. For example, Sophie means wisdom, and Evelyne means life.

My daughter's name is Ruby Ann. My husband bought me a baby name book when I was 6 months along and there were so many pages, we just picked one! But if we have another daughter (not anytime soon) I'm thinking the name Sage Brielle. I still love her name! It also goes with her auburn hair!

A couple years ago, When I was 19 and my boyfriend was 22 we adopted my sisters newborn baby boy (she passed away during the delivery and his dad bailed out 4 months into the pregnancy) we could stand the thought of him being anywhere but with his family and our parents were at a point where raising another baby wasnt an option. We named him Hunter Ronan Elliot Kingston, he just turned 3 this month and is a super proud new big brother to mine and my fiance's two newest additions to our family Bethany Rose Marie Kingston and Arabella Claire Kingston (claire was my sisters name) born february 6th 2014 .. six minutes shy of my sisters birthday!

My baby girls name is mirabella Kennedy.
We both picked it.
I loved mirabella and after a hard look we finally desided Kennedy fit well as a middle name.

My daughter's name is Danae Hannah. Hannah is after my oldest friend and her godmother, and Danae originally comes from Greek mythology, but was chosen from a David Eddings series of books - Danae is the name of the child goddess in human form. We both picked the first name, I chose the middle name. Couldn't imagine her as anything else; her name is unusual, just like us!x

All my children's names are all names that my children chose themselves, i dreamt of them and they told me their names. 1st- Andrew Micheal, 2nd- Kiera Traci Lee and 3rd- Grayson Trey Aryn. I chose the middle name of the first, mother in law and mom chose the middle names of the second and husband and his grandfather chose the middle names of the third. :)

Nope do not wish i chose different because like i said earlier, my children chose their first names.

McKinsley Amaiah

Shiloh Amirh

My daughter (McKinsley) was named after my day McKinley and I named Shiloh because he passed and shiloh means "God's gift" Their dad choose the middle names and we decided to go with 'a' middle names for all our children.

I wished I would have named my daughter so that her name would have a beautiful meaning like the rest of her brothers and sisters

We have 3 boys

Dominick James-Paul
Dakoda Jaxson
Daven John

My husband and I chose each one carefully for both meaning and how it sounded. Their names couldn't have been more perfect for them. Each definition has actually came to describe the boys ... well for the older two anyways. Daven's only 2 months old so we're not too sure on his personality just yet lol.

Ayanna Lynn... Ayanna because it is African American so its part of her father and it is easy for non africans to say it haha and Lynn because I promised if I had a girl I would give her my sisters middle name. I asked him for any options but he always chose names that were old sounding or non unique, so then he gave up and told me to choose hahahaha... No, I love love love her name... It suits her amazingly and its a beautiful name :) Donte Wayne for my son, Donte lol I heard it from a sexy guy on CSI 10 years ago and I loved it instantly, Wayne because it is my brothers middle name. No he did not lol I won that privilige also and Nope, I would never change it because I cannot hear myself calling him any other name

First, it was a decision her father and I made that if it was a girl then I had all the naming rights and if it was a boy then he did but it had to be something we agreed upon. I chose Raegan Khiley. I chose that because she is African American and we tend to get stereotyped on how we name our kids. So I wanted it to be something that when my child's name was written or read out loud no one would know if she was African American or white. Which isn't bad, but you also have to think how kids go the rest of their lives with these names. .Good Luck and this was a really good post.

My son's name is Dallas James (:
It was mutual findings for his first name and his father liked how the middle name sounded with it, and I agreed. I don't have any regrets or wishes about changing his name.

Beatrice Noelle and Eleanor Brianna
My husband wanted something old fashioned, but I didn't want anything already used in my very large Catholic family so we went to Shakespeare instead of the Bible for first names. The Noelle is because if our first child hadn't miscarried, it would have been due at Christmas and that would have been it's name if female. Brianna is because by then we didn't think we'd get a boy to name after daddy. :) Both names were negotiated (Bea was almost Eleanor and Ellie was almost Margaret Helen). I thought Brianna was going to be Brianne, but when my husband called around to tell family she was born, it came out the other way.
If we ever get lucky enough to have more, our first son will be Jeffrey Brian (step grandpa who is more of a real grandparent than either biological one and dad), second son Edward Albin (what Bea thinks we should name a brother instead of Jeffrey and my maiden name), and third daughter Margaret Francis (another name we considered for Ellie and my grandma--I think it sounds better the other way, but that's too much of a "nun" name for a baby.).

My little boy is Nickolai Alexander. I picked the first name out from watching Law and Order: SVU, a mobster guy's name was Nikolai. I decided to Americanize it a little though in case he wants to be called Nick one day. And Alexander just fits perfectly.

Nova was something my mother loved, it just seemed so perfect!

Jaden Caleb (3 years old), is my son's name. I like uncomplicated names but I love Hebrew and Biblical names,

Jaden in Hebrew means Jehovah has heard.

Caleb in Hebrew means the Heart of God or devotion to God.

My name is Hebrew as well and but his dad's name is Irish lol we did have a disagreement at first but try arguing with a pregnant woman lol
