Teething Nightmare :(

My 1 1/2 is currently cutting his upper molars. They have erupted and my little guy has been in so much pain for the past 5 days. He had a blood bubble on one of the Molars along with redness and swelling on the whole upper gum with cankers as well. I took him to the Dr. Monday morning and they prescribed Amox. to help with the infection. I was just wondering if any other moms out there have ever experienced something similar??? This process has been scary.

I haven't personally experienced this, but my mother-in-law warned me that all of her children had similar experiences when they were teething and to watch for it with my son. We were lucky and his teeth came in all nice and easy, but apparently my brother-in-law would have 2 days of screaming with blood blisters, and then he'd wake up the next morning with his face and bedding covered in blood and some nice shiny new teeth poking through.
