I love this new group. It has all kinds of women and we all have a great sense of humor and we're intelligent.

In light of recent issues I've been thinking about things that have happened, here and previously in DMG. I think sometimes some of the girls (that I hang with via the internets) and I forget that everyone doesn't know the history of certain people or what is going on all the time. Last night I saw someone else making a comment about the thread in DM of stupid questions and why that is allowed but people had been asked to refrain from making fun of others in DMG. This same person knows what's going on with Traci but isn't sure who she really is.

For those of you who don't know, Traci, Brenda and Gina are all girls that had been members of Political Debating Moms. I know Traci had frequented DM, not sure about the other two. They're all crazy Republicans and I mean crazy. Every man for themselves, homophobic, bible thumping but don't ever expect me to give you shit you lazy ass trailer trash welfare liberals. Anyhow, just right before the shit went down in DMG and I mean days before, Brenda aka Bren-duh was trying to get us into trouble with the Administration of CoM and anyone across CoM who would listen that DMG was nothing but a shit talking group. She would have loved to have examples. Of course many were mortified that our group was made out to be nothing but evil bitchy women. We had our times where we had a thing or two to say and we enjoyed it but it was also our place to shoot the shit on a friend level. It just happened that at the same time *several* threads popped up with bitchy undertones and I'm sure (as has been admitted) everyone got a little jumpy. What we knew and some others didn't that these girls already has boasted of a spy in DMG. They never had detailed info but had "heard" of some things. DMG was just too big to keep under control, we couldn't be sure who might go outside of it and feed these women info. Now look what has happened when they did get info. I guess the moral of my long ass story, (sorry, lol) is anyone who has a "private" group, don't let it get too big. Watch who you let in, closely. Hope this helps clear some things up and teaches us all something.

LOL - I don't curse much (really I don't!!!) at home. But I do have a natural potty mouth. And I don't give a fuck who reads it.

We're all adults here. A pussy is a vagina is a cunt. But I rarely use cunt as a parts name.

Well its good to know that com admin doesn't care about our private groups. I'm still looking forward them evolving this site so that people can be kicked off a group.

I only just made my recent activities private yesterday...I think what's really sad about this is that it's made everybody question who people "really" are.

I'm having a hard time figuring out why the admins of COM would give a shit about what is said & done in a private community?

My advice is to make your profiles private and only for those in your circle and be wise about who you let in your circle. Hide all the small private groups you love so that no one sees them and hide your recent activity. I learned the hardway after I first got on COM about frequent obssessive trolling....people who will constantly check your page, read your wall comments bring them up in other communities, follow you around and join the communities you belong to...there are some crazy vindicitive people on COM and many people with fake accounts who will target you just because you disagreed with them in a post and got into a verbal arguement.

Thanks for posting this Dana...hope that cleared up some of the stuff. Obviously, there has been long standing friction between some of us and certain members...but they should all be gone now, so here's keeping our fingers crossed that there won't be any more drama with them!

I agree, as long as people know they're for real then there shouldn't be any issues.

Yeah, I actually just checked off the groups that I don't want my activity followed in.
I think our group is really great right now. However, I am still willing to allow others in if one of the members knows for sure they're legit.

If we keep this group small, we'll be able to pinpoint if things get leaked.

Go to settings, right next to view messages at the top of any circle of moms page. Go down further on the settings page and you can set your profile to private, there's also a section for community privacy so you can hide any community that you don't want someone to see, say some one in your circle. As far as hiding recent activity, I think you do that by going to your profile page itself. I've hidden mine so I'm not sure by that but, I think it gives you an option at the bottom or right by the recent activity

Oh, and this isn't directed at any one person or telling anyone what they should do, just my general observations.
