Almost in the terrible 2s or is she in them already?

My daughter has a very determined personality, if she doesn't want to do something she starts whining, crying, or she'll throw whatever she has in her hand. Lately (she's 23 months now) I've noticed that her attitude is good some days but then other days is the complete opposite! She would cry for anything, feels like she's her own boss & it's very frustrating. She also hates diaper changes, she'll kick & make it a lot harder for me to change her diaper quickly. What are your suggestion on handling the terrible 2s, especially in public (restaurant, shopping...etc)? What is your strategy?

Hunger, frustration, tiredness, 2 year molars....it could be any compilation of things.

When my daughter tantrums at home I walk away and tell her when she's done then we can talk. She's 29months and speaks fluently so she does understand.

At the grocery store I always always bring snacks. It's my rule of thumb. I also bring a drink.

My daughter hates diapers too. Maybe she's ready to be potty trained? That's one of the signs. Just know you're not the only one going through this. It's always something with them ;)
