I need some help. Several years ago, I had a cousin whose sister got pregnant with her first child. She decided to send a gift each month to her sister to brighten up her pregnancy. Sorta of the 12 days of christmas, but instead the 9 months of pregnancy. I have totally forgotten the small gifts that she either made of bought each month for her sister. Does anyone here have cute ideas that would mean a lot to the mother, that can be made at home, for us who don't have a lot of money to spend on big presents. I feel the homemade gifts mean more to the mother's anyway.

A baby mobile that you add to each month? The onsie idea is a great one :D in going with the pampered idea you could give mum a different pamper item for each month or do something to pamper her? I know I couldn't reach my toes so having someone paint them for me would have been nice...you could make a bracelet choosing 9 key pieces that represent the 9 months that she can wear at the hospital..you take a photo of each month of pregnancy then put each one in a book or frame? Hope some of these ideas help

I did a 9 month journal for my daughter in law, I decorated the outside with cute scrapbook paper and put tabs for each month 1,2,3,etc. So she could write messages about her pregnancy and her feelings, it also gave her space to leave messages for her new son. One day when he's older to share with him.

how about a pamper box filled with relaxing girly stuff - magazine, eye mask, chocolates etc. something for her and not the baby for just before it arrives?

I got the coolest gift at my baby shower ....it was a wire hanger bent in a circle , there were diapers rubber banded all around it looked like wreath and with pink ribbon there were baby items such as rattle, socks, baby washcloths, nail clippers , spoon, paci etc... tied on every other diaper ....it was adorable and the items were just "Dollar Tree " 1$ items but it was very special. I hung it up in my house until my daughter was born and I still use the stuff that came on there to this day !!

Choose things that will pamper her. You can also decorate diapers, or just give baby items.

You could make fragrant bath salts. Here is a website with different recipies http://www.allfreecrafts.com/giftinajar/... I think that during my pregnancy I would have loved to know someone was thinking of just me. So providing a gift to pamper mommy is very nice. Besides I am sure you are going to buy baby gifts for the baby shower.
