This is a fun craft idea for kids that they will be so proud of----creating their own sewing cards! Start by cutting out several pieces of blank, sturdy cardboard that are at least 7"-8" square. Once cut, let the childrens' imaginations run wild, creating their own designs on the cardboard pieces using colors, markers, child-safe paints, etc. Once the cards are done and have dried if necessary, use a paper-punch or something similar to punch holes in the cards as desired. Give the children ribbon, yarn, string, shoelaces, etc. to "sew" their pictures, through the holes you've created for them. They will be so proud of their very own crafty creations when done.....they'll want to show everyone!
