Hi everyone,

Just a note, my son graduated from Camp Pendelton on 3/3 from the SOI and now he is in Pensacola Florida for school. He is becoming an airplane mechanic. I am happy for him but I miss him already. Where is your son or daughter?

Wow, it has been a while since I have posted anything on here. Time always seems to get away from me and life keeps me pretty busy. My son Jeffrey ended up getting stationed in Cherry Point North Carolina and just got picked up by a different unit, one that will be deploying on some sort of ship, not an aircraft carrier, and from what I am told, will be sitting somewhere off the shores of Spain after January. While I am so proud of what our children and loved ones are doing, I can't help but feel a little sad. I do so admire them for their courage and dedication to our freedom but miss them none the less.....and worry constantly. May God bless all of our troops and bring them home safely.

Wyatt graduated from MCT November 13th, and is now at Twentynine Palms for school. He is coming home for Christmas on Saturday and then headed back on January 1st. My youngest son will be headed off to bootcamp in August or September.

Hi,
My nephew in law is a field radio operator. He did 2 tours over in Iraq and is now stationed at Miramar here in San Diego. He does however go out to twentynine Palms to do stuff. Maybe they will meet up. I am excited my son is coming home for Christmas. This is the first time I will be seeing him since March so I am very excited. Lots of emotions lately. Have a wonderful holiday and congratulations on your new marine.

Hi all, this is exactly what I have been wishing for. More Marine Moms to talk to. My son graduated from MCRD San Diego on Oct 2nd. We are traveling to Camp Pendleton on Nov 6 to see him graduate from MCT. After that he will be on guard duty for at least 2 weeks and then home for the holidays. He is going to be a Field Radio Operator, he'll do his MOS school at 29 Palms sometime in January. I do miss him but I could not be prouder of him. I will keep all of you and your sons in my prayers.

Hi nice to meet you to. My son Jeffrey graduated from MCRD in San Diego this past January and is currently in North Carolina for 2 months for school. He might be stationed there and get picked up by a unit or go to Yuma AZ. I would prefer Yuma since it would be closer for me to go see him. I miss him alot. I dread the day he gets shipped off but I know that is what he signed up for.

Hello all.
My son graduated boot camp back on Halloween of '08. He went to his MOS school at Camp LeJuene, NC and is now stationed in Okinawa Japan!! I miss him a great deal but I do get to chat with him on yahoo most day and on weekends when he is not busy, we get to do voice chats and webcams so I can see his smiling face and hear his voice. He is currently struggling with being terribly home sick. He is there in Okinawa for 21 more months, he got a 2 year assignment and has only been there since the very beginning of May. Nice to meet you all.

Hello All,
May God bless all those children who are blessed with the inspiration of protecting our country. Without their dedication we would not live such a live full of liberty and progressiveness. Thank you all for allowing our children to be independent thinkers. We are very lucking parents, our children are true decision makers which show a great deal of strenght, courage and committement not only to their country, but; especially to themself and their families. Moms thank you again.
My son entered US marines boot camp on June 7th and is schedule to graduate on Sept 4. He also was very challenge with us for about 2 years so missing him is not a strong feeling at this point. I miss the gathering of the family and the funny things we use to do. Yet, not the challenging know it all behavior. Though I consider that without challenges life would be boring. I love the opportunity to share with you all and God bless our children.

Hi everyone. I am so glad to meet you. My prayers are with your sons and for their safe return. My son is still awaiting to start school in Pensacola in June. I think I am pretty safe for now that he doesn't have to go to Iraq for now. I already have that fear and freak out when I hear of the violence over there. It must be a mom thing when that happens. Congratulations on your grandchild Debbie, that is wonderful. It looks like it is going to be a beautiful warm day here in So Cal. Supposed to be in the 80's then tomorrow in the 90's. I am glad I have to work tomorrow (in the air conditioning). Hope your day is blessed.

Hi everyone. I have 2 sons in the Marines. Both went to boot camp at Camp Pendleton. One is still stationed there but is currently in Iraq. He left 1/11. So far, so good.....everytime there is violence on the news, I panic. But, he has been safe so far. My older son is also an airplane mechanic, working on the engines. He is at Cherry Point, NC. he is married and he and his wife gave me my first grandchild, a boy. it's so nice to have people to talk to!

Hi,

My son is in Iraq right now. I can't even describe the feeling of fear inside me, even though I know that he will be ok. He just left on 1/29, so he still has 10 more months. I can't wait until he's back for good.
