100% Mexican!! and proud of it :D Ok well thats kind of a lie. Im 100% my guy is like 50 % mexican 25% Caucasion 25% Native American. that equals 100% right?? lol jk jk. So im just gonna tell my daughter she is Mexican if her dad tells her she has like an inch of white and native american mixed in her than so be it. Mexican traditions well we do them all. She will have a quince. On easter we do cascarones and everthing else! she just turned one so we havent done much. But i grew up in a very Mexican household and all of my relatives are the same so i intend to raise my daughter the same way i want her to be proud of her Mexican heritage. :)

Me, typical American Mutt I got Italian, Welsh, Spanish, and Irish! But I think their is more...That is what I know of me.... My husband is 100% Dutch so that makes Claire half American mutt and half Dutch!
We do a lot of Dutch traditions and I brought some American ones too. It is fun to share my American traditions with my Dutch family and share new ones from my Dutch family!

I love Mexico too! I had visited many times when I was younger and lived in the States so closer by. Also of course in the states Mexican culture is alive and well. My neighbors were from Mexico and kids American, but they alway invited me over for all their parties and I REALLY LOVED THE FOOD!!! They were art curators... they made all this beautiful art.
The Dutch have some really strange traditions. They have Sinter Klaus (Santa Clause) But he is not like our Santa in the states at all. He does not even come on Christmas eve, but on 15 December. He has a helper called Zwarte Pete) Black Pete...no kidding. I know that would so not work out well in the states ha ha . But yeah he was a slave I am sure and real guy. It is where we did get our Santa from in the USA but Black Pete became elves and Santa got fat.
Any ways he comes on a white horse by boat from Spain, they make this huge deal of it here, have television broadcast of his journey and arrival. We all gather to go see him come off the boat. Then on 15 December you hear a loud knock at the door and all sudden you see cookies flying and candies flying in, then some presents. He leaves also candies in your shoe not stocking. It is great fun because they are part of the action and it is completely separate from Christmas.
I had to get over the whole weird racial tone of Black Pete...but when you live somewhere else you just have to understand it is a different culture.

My daughter might be Half El Salvador obviously I know they are two different countries hehe WOW Mexican I absolutely LOVE no exaggeration LOVE Mexican Culture, People, Traditions, Way of life omg seriously I've loved them since I was a little girl and I'm pretty sure my dad got to go to Mexico, Apparently in El Salvador a girls 15th Birthday is a HUGE celebration so I figure she can have both traditions cos generally you have a sweet 16 but if she is indeed El Salvador as I'm currently going through the courts to get my daughters dad to take a dna test so he can acknowledge she is his if he is her dad then she will have a BIG 15th.
